Globales Cala Blanca

Hotel was lovely, we had the family room which turns out basically two rooms with two balconies. Nice privacy for my 24 year old son. The housekeeping lady was so lovely I couldn't fault her for her job and friendliness. The pool and area were kept very clean . They do allow you to put towels on sunbeds, but we always managed to get one without, probably not the case in the height of the season. Reception staff was helpful and friendly. Almost all the staff speak good English but I like to use my limited Spanish, one bar man every time I asked for a glass of white wine in Spanish seemed to not understand me (I felt that was rude and intentional) . Entertainment was very good (the best I've seen in an all inclusive) animation team absolutely fantastic!!!!. Then we come to the food......... It was edible .The layout was all very nice , loads of different options to choose from . The expertise of the chefs wasn't that great I'm afraid . They couldn't quite get things right, like lasagne (if you closed your eyes you wouldn't know what you were eating) the meat was always over cooked and chewy (except the ribs and chicken was good), veg hard as nails. Lovely salad bar etc. But they did do other foods on other days which was nice, paella etc. There was a different theme every day so a lot of thought had gone into it , it was just a shame at times , deserts looked great . I found breakfast my best meal of the day . Not all drinks are on the all inclusive deal. Cocktails were standard white wine drinkable. You could help yourself to cava which I liked, pump larger was sanmiguel but there was bottled beer you could buy.Towels are a £10 deposit petty standard , but the safe I think was about £30 odd which I was shocked at.

Our second time at this hotel and I don’t think it will be our last! The not so good bits are not deal breakers: we don’t drink booze and the unlimited soft drinks are not my thing. Would be great to have less sugary options for non-drinkers…but then suppose we are the minority! Coffee also not good, but then I’m a coffee snob. Gym needs blinds on the windows as it is like a greenhouse even with air con. Pool a bit small and overlooked for my taste. The good bits though: food was amazing, loads of veg, salads, fish, desserts. Cannot believe some of the complaints on here about the food. No it’s not Michelin starred, but you’d need to be an extremely fussy eater to not be able to find something delicious - and that’s not the hotel’s problem. The staff were wonderful, happy, efficient - a real asset to the hotel. Beds were mega comfy. Shower pressure incredible. Sea view is lovely. Nice size lobby and reception. We walked everywhere, to Ciutadella and beyond, there’s lots to explore. Always found a sun lounger. Ample space to get some sun or shade, we chose to be away from the crowds in the corner. Day time entertainment nice and low key. Only a small amount of crap English music played by the pool. Water dispenser in the bar so perfect for filling your own bottles. Amazing sunsets. Someone else mentioned on here that there were a lot of miserable guests, I tend to agree - I think there is no pleasing some people! We were thrilled with everything we got here, for the price, so thank you!

Arrived Wed 28 May 2025 room on 1st floor : clean welcoming room. When stepping onto balcony could smell smoke and nicotine:: looked down staff smoking beneath balcony. This was designated staff smoking area. Used throughout our stay. Reported to reception but was told there was nothing that could be done. This really impacted on our stay. I didn’t want to go onto balcony when staff smoking below. The hotel is a no smoking hotel except below room 108 : our room. I couldn’t fault anything else. Room housekeeper a delight : food really good quality : Animacion team enthusiastic. Pool well looked after : always managed to find a subbed. My husband arranged birthday surprise in my room: that was great But …. Unable to relax on balcony with door shut to keep smoking aroma out. What a shame this made our stay memorable for the wrong reasons.

First of all I would like to say the Menorcan people are friendly and welcoming, a few things I was disappointed with was you had to pay 38 Euros for a safe which is quite a lot for a weeks stay especially when you are all inclusive ,the food was ok but I would say 3 star , their was one type of lager on draught which I thought was awful! so I had to buy bottled lager when I had a drink , there should of been a few options at least I could have tried before I had to pay for something drinkable , if you like pool and sunshine then its great but if you want more you have to get buses or taxi's, although there is a few nice places to eat and drink within 5 minutes walk near the small beach.

Well I really don’t know where some of these other reviews stayed as this is my third stay here now and I absolutely love it. It’s clean it’s got a great pool and garden area to catch the sun and relax The food is fine the drinks are fine and the area that the hotel is in is lovely. Our room was cleaned every day and towels changed . The day time entertainment girls are fabulous if your looking to join in and have a bit of fun and the night time entertainment was great , Iv stayed in hotels in tenerife same time of year and payed nearly double the price and no better . Keep doing what your doing as we enjoy your lovely hotel

Just returned from a week at this hotel, very clean hotel, food was very very good. Drinks where ok but when you go All Inclusive this is the case normally. Not much to do outside the hotel, service bus goes from outside to the next town. Approx 20 minutes walk a few bar and restaurants. Would definitely go back. Thank you

We were disappointed with this 4* hotel. The hotel is in a great spot in a small town. The bus stop for Ciutadella is right by the back gate, which is great, well worth a visit and the busses are cheap and arrive bang on time. Hotel Reception area clean & bright. There are plenty of loungers outside and not all around the pool (if we were spending time at the hotel we chose loungers on the quieter grassy areas). The AI drinks were ok for our choices. However…our room was shocking! I had asked for a lower floor room as I don’t use lifts, and we were given a room just off reception which was very convenient. The room was basic, very dark because of a huge tree outside, and the wardrobe space was limited…ok if you’re only hanging t-shirts but no good for dresses (there were a couple of hooks on the bedroom wall so my dresses hung on the wall for the duration!). Very noisy between 4&5am every day…I think there is some storage beyond our balcony which they access every morning. The first morning we thought it was a bad thunderstorm then realised it was man-made noise! I asked reception for a clothes airer to dry towels but as we got no sun or breeze because of the trees we gave up trying to keep them aired. Food was average for AI. We ended up eating out more. My main gripe was the bathroom: The shower screen was a plastic concertina set up..not easy to keep clean I’m sure…and I didn’t manage to close it completely at all, so the bathroom floor was very wet after showers. The chrome hose on the hand-held shower head had black mould growing on it. There were huge dirty cracks on some of the tiles in the shower and dirty or missing grouting. The ceiling above the shower was mouldy. There was no surface or shelving in the bathroom to put wash bag/products on, and the sink and soap dispenser in the shower were sloping, so that if I tried to put down any of my own products they slid off. The only flat surface in there was the toilet seat or the floor, not ideal for toothbrushes etc. I mentioned all of this to reception and to the manager soon after arrival, and asked for the bathroom to be cleaned again. The photos were taken after it had been re cleaned. I was told that I was given this bathroom because I asked for a lower floor…wondering if all the ground floor bathrooms are like this? The manager told me the hotel was full with no possibility of changing us to another room. We have stayed at this hotel before, and were happy with everything on previous visits. We would be happy to go back to Cala Blanca again…just not this hotel.

Foods been great. Themes each night, rooms are decent size, entertainer (Paz) has been excellent with my 2 children. Couldn’t ask for more from her. Nighttime entertainment has been good too! Clean areas, nice views from the room. All staff have been very welcoming! Would definitely come back!!! Could do with more things for children as it’s a child friendly hotel & also could do with more accessible areas for people on mobility scooters.

Think this hotel is more of a three and a half star than a four star hotel! Rooms ok and clean but very dark with limited storage space and no room in the wardrobe to hang dresses , also bedside “cubes “ could have been better if a normal bedside cabinet with drawers! Entertainment girls Mayte and Paz absolutely brilliant, just the two of them and they worked so hard to provide daytime and nighttime entertainment. 5 out of 7 nights had outside entertainment acts of a high standard which was a good surprise as have not had this in hotels previously as often a large animation team putting on evening entertainment of not great quality The hotel only has one bar and one restaurant and this is where it seemed strange for an all inclusive! Breakfast 7.30 to 10am then the restaurant closes until 11am and reopened for an hour with a very limited choice of breakfast food. Then opened for lunch 1 til 3 with a small cold selection and a larger selection of hot meats and vegetables, the chef cooked burgers and hotdogs but if you asked for one the answer was no ! ( they brought them out when the restaurant opened from 4 to 5.45 for snacks ! ) This was the strangest thing I have seen in a hotel ! The evening meal 7-9.30 but they asked you to leave the restaurant if you were still eating at 9,30 ! Food ok but repetitive and s little bit boring meaning a lot of people going out to eat on a number of occasions The 2 drink rule odd We were a family of 5 adults ranging in age from 50 to 88 and it meant 2 people had to go to the bar which doesn’t sound bad but when there’s only one bar inside was an inconvenience I can understand only two alcoholic drinks but coffee and soft drinks, why ? For the price ok I guess but would not return or recommend

Breakfast was great , everything you could wish for. Room was not big but fine with comfy beds and quiet. With a garden view from a reasonable bolcony. There was entertainment which kept the bar area busy. ( not to our liking but that is just a question of taste..) The area has reasonble public transport links ( one bus per hour ). Also good road links to most places. Parking in the area was on street but easy.

My one gripe would be the tiny smoking area , hidden away , uncomfortable and no way to have a drink , seat and chat. It was dubbed the naughty corner and I felt punished. ( Fine for the non smokers but we smokers don´t need to be treated so badly. The local Cala Blanca was OK to take the sun but it was full of smelly seaweed and the water smelled too. It was the perfect spot for an early moprning swim but too smelly.
