"A brilliant 10 days in the Globales Cala Blanca.."

10.0

Booked through TUI...We could not really fault anything about this Hotel, stayed 16th - 26th June 2025. All the Staff was really pleasant, Maybe the bar Manager was a bit off sometimes!! Best thing was the groundsman, he turned on the sprinklers almost 7am every morning for 20-25 minutes, and walking away with a massive grin as everyone's towels on the grass part were getting soaked, especially the new arrivals and had no idea, but took most of the day to dry!! So take a quick drying towel to save your space, then take the normal one's when you go to your spot!! People complained the food was not piping hot the soup was though, but when catering for that many people, they do have to put it out with time to spare before the start of lunch at 1 pm. You won't starve as the was something for everyone, and the Themed food nights were good, Italian, Mexican, Spanish Tapa's, USA ,burgers and hotdogs etc. Dessert was quite nice, although quite repetitive, breakfast was the usual English (their version) but nice, cereal's, fresh fruit and pastries. Milk was a choice of Full Fat, Skimmed, (no semi) Soya, Lactose free, Oat milk and Yoghurt Overall a fabulous time, and we are looking to book again for next June, probably a week earlier as the temperature was in the 30s. A bit too hot for me, I was hoping for 24 or so. Gemma in the bar was really good always smiling...The half day boat trip with a 1 hr beach stop was good and the breeze was so welcoming, there was a guy selling fresh Coconuts, which he cut in half so you could drink the water and cut it in to pieces, Watermelon slice (was huge) and so refreshing although 10 euro's seemed a bit excessive!! The Animacion team was very good and had a variety of games and pool activities for the kids and adults, (pool activities was adults only) 3 times a day adults and twice for the kids 10 am, 1.30 pm and 4.30 pm adults, and kids in between. We did hire a car just for 1 day to see some of the Island, and it was worth it. It worked out at £47 including full insurance!! Booked through the Rep, looked going down my own route but it was more expensive!!

"Holiday in June 2025"

10.0

We have just returned having spent 11 nights here. the hotel is excellent, everything very clean. The staff are very helpful, we had requested a quiet room but were allocated one just above the entertainment lounge, when we asked to be moved we were immediately given a room on the third floor, although a much smaller one it suited us. We were advised to keep the air con switched on. The food was good, all very nicely presented and plenty of it. The pool area was nice with a large green area around if you didn't want to sit right by it. The only complaint was that were not enough sun shades. Entertainment was good. Animation team were amazing there weren't many children but the few that were there were kept busy. There was certainly plenty for the adults to do. Will certainly come back again, but maybe not in June it was incredibly hot.

"Wow! We love this place!"

10.0

Wow where do I start? Firstly this is my second time at this hotel, chosen by me and my mum again after an amazing experience last year. It was our first holiday as just mum and daughter and with me having anxiety and being neurodivergent we wanted to go somewhere that we were familiar with and knew we would be happy. This year exceeded our expectations from last year! We were on a ground floor room with a mini veranda (balcony) right next to the back of reception. This was a spacious room and despite having a view of a bush was nice as it felt secluded. It was a little noisy but we didn’t mind at all as we weren’t going to bed early. We requested an ashtray and this was brought to us. There were some minor issues we faced in the room including one of the bed square lamps not working - was fixed within 10 minutes of reporting. There was also an issue with the plug in our sink - this did take a few days to be sorted but was eventually and swiftly. Lastly because we were away during the fiesta for the festival we had some noisy neighbours for the last 6 days of our holiday (we were there 11 nights). The reception staff were great at sorting this out for us when reported and couldn’t fault them at all. The food was amazing! Lots of variety I would say even more than last year. I am a pescatarian so don’t eat meat but does eat fish. The chef were amazing and helpful when checking if a dish had meat in it. There was a variety at all 3 meals and different themed nights which were all great! The restaurant staff were swift at taking dirty plates and turning tables over when at a busy period. Now the entertainment staff! Wowwww! Firstly we met Mayte last year and she was incredible and was this year as well. Judith and Lucia are new this year and wow credit to them because they are exceptional and it is clear Mayte has trained them very well. A special mention to Judith for being especially welcoming towards me and my mum. My mum requested to have the aqua dance playlist for her car playlist and Judith wrote it out and when she couldn’t find us she found out our room number and put it under our door knowing it was our last night. The bar staff are top notch. The AI cocktails aren’t the best but was the same as last year so it wasn’t a bother to us. We found out they do agua con gas (sparkling water) which was great for my mum and to take to our room to have over night. A big mention to Gemma - you are a star! So kind and funny and very good at making the cocktails on the menu you have to pay. We didn’t mind paying as it was €6.50 for a mojito as was cheaper than the other local bars and was just as good! One thing we would love to see is Pomada on the menu even if we have to pay :) The area is so quiet and safe. Some of our top places we visited was The Blarney Stone, Nautilus, Hola Ola and Moonlight Cocktail bar. All lovely places to sit and have a pomada slushie and to relax in the evening without being too chaotic. We will be coming back next year as this is our special place that holds a place in our hearts! Thank you to all the staff for making my mum and I have such a wonderful first mum and daughter holiday.

"Heavenly tranquility. Can't wait to go back!"

10.0

We have just returned from 2 weeks at the Globales Cala Blanca, and can honestly say we had the best time and could easily have stayed for longer. We opted for a quiet resort this year due to many hospitalisations for me in the last couple of years and the need for a complete rest, and we certainly picked the perfect resort and perfect hotel for us. There are a couple of restaurants and bars nearby so if it's a nightlife you want then it's maybe not for you, but if you want peace, a beautiful and secluded setting, and the ability to truly wind down, then this is perfect. There's a lovely cove a couple of minutes away, which is safe for swimming and snorkelling, and from the seafront you can access some of the coastal path (you can walk all the way around the island). Not everyone is swayed by nature and wildlife, but this island is environmentally protected and as such the wildlife is superb. Red and black kites were everywhere, booted eagles flew over the hotel, there was a regular hoopoe visitor which was quite happy wandering around the grounds, 2 beautiful nightingales were happily singing each morning, and we even found a praying mantis on one of our sunbeds. There are a couple of nature reserves which we couldn't get to, but if this is something you're interested in then take some binoculars. The staff were wonderfully welcoming, friendly and accommodating, the pool areas were clean and safe, and the care by room staff to keep out rooms clean was great. Everywhere was spotless. The sunbeds were placed around both pools (one is tiny for small children), then also in 2 garden areas. We preferred the garden as it was quieter and a little more shaded, but there was enough sunbeds and parasols for everyone. Sunbed war started as we were leaving which was a little silly, with some guests out at 6am to grab their spot, but it wasn't necessary. I'm coeliac and so when we arrived I mentioned this to one of the restaurant staff, Marilen, who guided me around the buffet personally, explaining what to look for the keep me safe, but also guiding me about different gluten free options I could request that were not necessarily on the menu. She also checked in on our 2nd day to make sure the gluten free options were ok, which was definitely above and beyond expectations. The food choices were really good, with a very broad selection available, themed food nights, including Italian, Asian, Mexican and American. Breakfast was fabulous! If anyone couldn't find what they wanted in the restaurant then I would be very surprised. There was loads of fresh fish and authentic Menorcan dishes to enjoy. The entertainment staff were beyond incredible. I have never seen so much energy and enthusiasm from the 3 ladies, Mayte, Judith and Lucia, and they were always smiling and talking to the guests. Their positivity and sense of fun was infectious and we willingly wanted to engage in the activities as a result. Activities were abundant in the day, and included archery, rifle shooting, darts, boules, water polo, aqua dance. tshirt painting, etc. In the evenings, it all started with bingo, then an act which followed. These acts were varied too, and we enjoyed a motown trio, a magician and a variety of singers. We ventured around the island as the buses were easy to use. The bus stop was just outside the hotel and was always on time. Ciutadella is a must, a quaint town with narrow and winding streets and a great sense of beauty about it. That costs E1.70 each way. We also went to Fornells which was utterly stunning. It's hard to do by public buses ( you would need 3 different buses each way) so we booked a TUI shuttle bus for E16. Imagine a beautiful harbour village caught in time, and that's Fornells. We also did a TUI trip to a gin distillery which included a boat trip around Mahon harbour and time in Mahon. This cost E45 each but we couldn't have done this for less ourselves and it was amazing. Mahon was gorgeous, and we all slept well after sampling 20 different gins in the tasting :-) We had the best time and were both so sad to come home after the most wonderful rest and recharge. We will definitely go back as we loved it so much.

"Almost Perfect"

8.0

This was our second visit to the hotel. It had a lot to live up to as we had a great time previously. The Good: The room had everything you need. Plenty of cupboard space, a lovely bathroom with a great shower, a tv ( which we unplugged on our first night to get rid of the red light on it) and a great spacious balcony. 10/10 The hotel is absolutely spotless. Cleaning starts early and continues throughout the day. 10/10. The food has improved since our last visit. Hot meals and a good variety. You will never go hungry. We found the breakfasts to be spot on. Full English available plus cereal, yoghurt, fruit, pastries, the lot. Lunches and Dinners were always good. Dinner has a different menu every night, but if you didn’t fancy it there was always chicken and chips. We found the soups nice and filling. 8/10. The main pool is lovely. Nice size and never overcrowded. The smaller pool is ideal for dipping your feet in. Have to say the stairs on the main pool need some attention. 9/10. Drinks from the bar good. Nice variety, you can only get two at a time though. 8/10. Sunbathing is easy. People do put towels out for premium poolside spots, but we preferred the grassy parts out of the way. Always enough sunbeds to go round. Parasols provided. Have to say that the blaring music that we experienced last time has been turned down 10/10 Evening entertainment is pretty basic but suited us. Bingo costing €2 at 9:30pm then an act after. We didn’t really stay after bingo but a few people did and said the acts were good. Always enough room in the bar / ballroom for a seat. 8/10. The entertainment staff were great. No smoking in the outside areas is great. No cigarette smells wafting about. I believe there are two designated smoking areas. people did vape though. 8/10 The Bad: Anybody can wander into the hotel from outside and use the pools, get drinks without wristbands and I assume use any other facility they wish without being challenged. We witnessed this first hand twice. Once two women and a child (see photo), then one man and a child. We did think this caused a security issue as well as us paying a significant amount of money for our holiday for people to just wander in. We did also see four adults eating in the restaurant without wristbands after a short exchange with the girl on the restaurant door. Had they just wandered in ? 0/10. Shop 50 yards away, beach 150 yards away. Bus to Citudella stops right outside. Have to say this is an adult oriented hotel. Not much for younger people. We would recommend it and will visit again. One mark knocked off due to strangers walking in and using the facilities.

"Wonderful break in the sun"

10.0

We've just returned from a seven night stay at this hotel. Our first impressions were really positive..very clean, tidy, beautiful gardens and a very friendly welcome from Reception. Our room was great...again spotlessly clean, very efficient air con that was super easy to work. Water pressure was incredible so having a luxurious deep bath in the large tub was no problem...filled in literally seconds! As for the food...I have to disagree with some other comments on here...the hard working chefs and front of house staff kept everything topped up and clean..no dirty tables in the restaurant or empty bowls on the servery. I think everyone needs to appreciate the enormity of having to provide three meals a day for hundreds of people, seven days a week. No easy task! My husband is a chef and we always found something to our taste..there's fresh bread, a soup of the day, huge salad bar with the most potent home made alioli I've ever had! There was always fresh fish, superb mussels one night, paella, they even had roast pork on Sunday that the chef was carving to order. Fresh fruit always available and a good selection of soft drinks, wine and beer on draft to help yourself to. There was always bottles of cava in an ice bucket too..including at breakfast! Desserts were imaginative...even had a chocolate fountain one night. They had theme nights too so we had Chinese, Mexican and American night during our stay. The entertainment was great...something different every night...very professional and varied..we loved the classical duet and the Soul singers..all brilliant fun. The animation girls are great too..very friendly and hard working..lots of activities during the day including archery, rifle shooting and aqua dance. All staff very friendly including the lovely housekeepers and bar staff. The whole place was spotlessly clean..you're allowed to bag a sunbed with your towel if you wish. Met some great new friends around the pool too..lovely atmosphere. We would definitely return...planning to next year..and recommend to anyone wanting a fun chilled break in the Menorcan sun.

"Pleasant stay for a week but food disappointing. Not four star"

6.0

Lovely hotel with friendly staff, all areas clean with plenty of sun beds round the pool but food a huge disappointment. Same selection day after day, breakfast, lunch & dinner constantly just warm or cold. No food was hot, no pasta station to order what you would like just cold spaghetti with a sauce. Ate out twice at lovely restaurant 3 minute walk away overlooking the beach. Rooms basic but everything you need. Shower over bath. We had a pool view room sadly without a blackout blind which caused the room to be roasting by late afternoon. Definitely not a four star, I would state three star but overall a pleasant stay and very close to a small beach

"Mainly good, few points to note"

6.0

I have mixed feelings, clean definitely, friendly definitely. Food average, heat of food an issue often lukewarm and not very varied but always something to most people's tastes. For an all inclusive it is limited no free ice cream, no snack bar just left over breakfast or burger available in the restaurant. Normally expect outside bar with snack options in an all inclusive. Mainly enough sunbeds, be aware if setting up on the grass the sprinklers are on timers and randomly start up in the morning! Not a lot locally but for a quiet break it is ideal. Daytime/evening entertainment varied and something for everyone. Would recommend Jenny's for a good meal at a reasonable price.

"A nice visit to menorca , but I don't feel I need to go back unlike other places I have been "

8.0

Hotel was lovely, we had the family room which turns out basically two rooms with two balconies. Nice privacy for my 24 year old son. The housekeeping lady was so lovely I couldn't fault her for her job and friendliness. The pool and area were kept very clean . They do allow you to put towels on sunbeds, but we always managed to get one without, probably not the case in the height of the season. Reception staff was helpful and friendly. Almost all the staff speak good English but I like to use my limited Spanish, one bar man every time I asked for a glass of white wine in Spanish seemed to not understand me (I felt that was rude and intentional) . Entertainment was very good (the best I've seen in an all inclusive) animation team absolutely fantastic!!!!. Then we come to the food......... It was edible .The layout was all very nice , loads of different options to choose from . The expertise of the chefs wasn't that great I'm afraid . They couldn't quite get things right, like lasagne (if you closed your eyes you wouldn't know what you were eating) the meat was always over cooked and chewy (except the ribs and chicken was good), veg hard as nails. Lovely salad bar etc. But they did do other foods on other days which was nice, paella etc. There was a different theme every day so a lot of thought had gone into it , it was just a shame at times , deserts looked great . I found breakfast my best meal of the day . Not all drinks are on the all inclusive deal. Cocktails were standard white wine drinkable. You could help yourself to cava which I liked, pump larger was sanmiguel but there was bottled beer you could buy.Towels are a £10 deposit petty standard , but the safe I think was about £30 odd which I was shocked at.
