Excellent location for hiking the Cares Gorge! We stayed 2 nights, arriving late the first night, but still before dinner (8:00 pm). Plenty of parking in front of and around hotel. Manolo, the manager, was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Dinner was very good and the prices were reasonable. Breakfast was sufficient to get us going on our hike. Showers in room were very good, strong and warm - which was great after a long day of hiking. Ate dinner in restaurant again on second night. If you are hiking the Cares Gorge, this is the place to stay!

We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad in dit kleine familie hotel. Ondanks dat het geen lux hotel is en jammer genoeg wat gehorig weegt het niet op , op het fijne verblijf. Het personeel super behulpzaam en meedenkend. Werd heel goed schoongehouden. Ook de bedden waren goed .Het ontbijt niet super uitgebreid maar voor ons voldoende. Ook de menu kaart niet heel uit gebreid maar heerlijke gerechten en niet duur. Goede uitvalsbasis voor veel wandelroutes. Prachtig gelegen tussen de bergen. We hebben het heel fijn gehad en echt wel voor herhaling vatbaar.
Used it for a one-night stay as base for walking in the area. No frills, but still just right. Very good friendly service.
300m to the start of the Ruta Cares and surrounded by towering peaks. Room was a good size, clean, and had dramatic views. No fridge, no aircon, minimal TV channels and WiFi kept timing out even if I was only a few feet from the router. We didn't expect any better, so these failings didn't really matter for 2 nights. The staff don't speak English and we don't really speak Spanish, but the menu had English translations, so we coped ok. The staff were very friendly and tried hard to please. The food tended towards rustic, and was well cooked and presented. Breakfast appeared basic, but included fresh orange juice, good coffee and lovely toasted bagguette. We enjoyed our stay.
This friendly hotel met all our needs and was well placed for stunning walks in the area. Food prices and quality were very good considering the hotel has little competition. The hotelier was very willing, cheerful and despite is having little Spanish we managed to share a few chats together. The bedrooms and bathrooms are adequate and having a poor Wi fi signal and no phone signal because of the mountainous location was actually an unexpected relief.
Location is everything. Very friendly staff very relaxed felt very safe. Basic but well priced. Superb spot for Ruta dear cares and bulnes. Easy to get to. Decent food - again basic but decent and priced fair. Rooms kept clean with towels changed daily.
