Parador de Las Cañadas del Teide

Location: Excellent location for anyone wanting to explore away from the coastal areas with some wonderful natural sights to see. Room: Clean, quite big, bathroom & shower great. Staff: Friendly, helpful.

Breakfast. This was a strange experience. There was a selection of foods laid out & you was directed to your table & instructed to help yourself. Having eaten some food, I was then given a "menu" (this didn't happen every day) where I could choose a hot breakfast ie eggs & bacon. The one day I did order a hot breakfast I asked for bacon & scrambled eggs, 20 minutes later I was given some mashed up omelette & ham strips. A very disappointing experience Evening Meals: disappointing experience for multiple reasons, so much so that by the last night I'd had enough & went elsewhere to eat. Room: No air conditioning, the sun blazes in & the room gets hot. There are 3 different fan speeds on the environmental/thermostat unit on the wall but nothing to cool the room down. The beds are on wheels, each time you shift your weight the whole bed moves. The beds are not the most comfortable & found I was constantly waking up throughout the night to turn & get comfy which meant the bed suddenly moved about because of the wheels by which waking me up with a jolt.

El marco es incomparable. Estar en la piscina con el Teide de fondo es un lujo. La noche estrellada es fantástica… y el personal súper amable y profesional.

Das Frühstück war superb und das Personal sehr freundlich. Das Zimmer war gut ausgestattet und die Betten bequem. Hervorragende Lage mit Blick auf den Teide und die Vulkanlandschaft.
