"Two-day stay with family"

8.0

Our family of four had a wonderful two-night stay at Riad Slawi. This is a quiet oasis from the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh. The hotel and rooms are tastefully decorated which set the scene for a visit to Morocco. The freshly breakfast is plentiful and prepares you for the walking in the medina. We appreciate all the help from the hotel manager which made our stay very memorable. I highly recommend this riad.

"Amazing package of assistance"

10.0

Adam the riad host provides an amazing amount of assistance to travelers. He organised our 3 day desert trip with a great guide, organized a cost to the local hammam including buying the special glove for me, bought our train tickets for the next stage of our journey. He goes way beyond the call of duty. This riad is home away from home.

"Excellent riad, highly recommended"

10.0

This riad was beautifully decorated with lots of attention to detail, our room was spotless and very comfortable and the rooftop terrace was a real bonus. However, what really made our experience was the owner, Adam. He gave us a very warm welcome and went the extra mile to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, providing us with map and guidance re getting around, sorting our tours and airport transfers and generally always being approachable, friendly and happy to help. Also the women who cleaned our rooms and made breakfast were also fantastic (one leant us an umbrella when she saw it was raining and food and room cleanliness were great). The only reason I haven't given a 100% rating for the room was because it opened up onto the main dining area which made it feel slightly less private than the other rooms upstairs. Only a minor detail though and did not have a negative impact on our stay. Plus I think it might just be a feature of riads generally. Highly recommended!

"Riad in the medina"

10.0

This is a small 4 room Riad, Adam the owner of the Riad is probably the highlight of the Riad. He is very accommodating, he set us up with a taxi at the airport, price already agreed so no haggling needed. At the Riad side due to its location you will need the help of the trolley boy to first find the hotel as you will not find it on your fist attempt. Once there, Adam welcomed us and sat us down with mint tea whilst the final preparations are done. We had the ground floor room which is the smallest of the lot i believe but there is ample space for 2 people, it also has a safe (not that its needed) for your small valuable items. The only downside is that as the room is the ground for and the fact that it is a small Riad, if your a light sleeper, you will hear the kitchen staff cooking away your breakfast. Not a problem if you want to have an early start. The Riad itself is small but very personal, beautifully decorated and you would feel at home if you wanted a day to lounge about. Once we were ready to set off we were given a map of the city and shown all the points of interest with a directions map to help find our way down the maze of alleyways to and from the main road and the Riad. Anything we needed we only needed to ask Adam and he would only happily answer and be as helpful as possible.

"Everyone should stay here!"

10.0

My friend and I just got back from our stay at the Riad Slawi and could not be more thrilled with our experience. Being two girls travelling alone, we were slightly anxious about our travels, however the lovely people of the hotel did everything in their power to make our stay enjoyable. The food was extraordinary, the room was gorgeous and everything was overall very safe and clean. The Riad Slawi organized a guided tour of the city with a guide Abdul, who ensured that we saw everything we wanted to see and more and gave us history and facts about Marrakech. They also arranged a driver to take us to a saffron farm in the mountains. The only tiny warning I would give other travellers is that from the taxi to the hotel you must travel for 3 minutes on food, guided by one of the locals. Since we were unaware of this before arriving we were a little nervous, but everything was fine and turned out amazingly.
