Hotel do Cerro

The Hotel do Cerro is an excellent hotel with lovely staff, but the small swimming pool area let the hotel down, the sun beds were very close together and not many of them were in the sunshine. We were put off by this, which was annoying as we prefer to sit by a swimming pool,so we went down to the beach area. The hotel is about a 10 to 15 minute walk " downhill" to the beach, easy going down, but walking back up to the hotel is quite hard. Albufeira old town is beautiful, a lovely resort.

We had a really enjoyable stay here during a long weekend in Albufiera. The hotel is quite central, about 10 minutes walk from the old town and the beach, but far enough away from the nightlife so as to not disturb sleep. The hill is a bit steep in places though. With so much to do in Albufiera we didn't really spend too much time here, apart from breakfast, some lounging by the pool and sleeping, but found the hotel a good base. Staff are friendly and helpful, rooms were clean, and breakfast was enough to set us up for the day.

Shower door leaked, used bath towels to mop up the water on floor and when asked for new towels maid would not give them to me,

My boyfriend and I stayed in hotel do cerro for 7 nights, we enjoyed our stay at the hotel, the only little thing I didn't like was that the room was small (I expected a bit bigger, but after couple of days it didn't mater :-)). Staff was very friendly and we received good service from them.

Location was great. Staff were ok. Felt they were 'cheap'... Charged for ice, gave paper cups for room. Very loud halls. Never changed sheets. One shampoo and shower gel for four nights get stay. Towels changed once. We had to continually ask for the service that should have been automatically done. Disappointing.

10 minute walk to Albuferia Old Town and Beaches, with a very steep hill on way home

Lovely spacious room (003) with a view of the beach from the balcony, but I think this was the only room with this view and of this size. No complaints whatsoever.

Second year in the hotel & only gripe would be lack of tea/coffee facilities & locked fridge - never did find out the hire cost. Location on a hilltop might put off someone with mobility problems but we found the climbs good exercise which eased the guilt from excessive consumption. Plenty hostelries to break the climb as well!

What a great hotel. I genuinely cannot fault it in any way. Rooms were really nice, friendly staff and a great area. Would most certainly stay here again

We found the staff to be exceptional. The manager was particularly accommodating and very personable
