Location, parking and cleanliness

Being harassed constantly by David (one of the 2 owners) to ensure we arrived before 9pm check in deadline. We arrived in plenty of time at 7:30pm despite the postcode provided directing us half a mile up the road! Being lied to by David when he told us the TV worked when he knew full well it didn’t and was quick to leave before I discovered it didn’t! He also told us not to worry about the door which linked our room with another as it wouldn’t mean any additional noise because “you can’t hear anything” Unfortunately for us, the couple next door had a violent, shouty domestic from 10:30pm until half past midnight. David was informed but didn’t bother to reply nor answer his phone to offer assistance or perhaps apologise for lying/offer us an alternative room or even small compensation. To date, no acknowledgement or apology but he has sworn at us via text. Charming! Breakfast only toast and cereal served between 08:30 and 09:30am (too late and only for an hour) A real shame because the room was decorated nicely, well presented and clean. I dealt with the couple next door (verbally only) on my own without any support from David and the other owner. I spoke to the other owner in the morning as David was nowhere to be seen. I was lied to by this gentleman also as he promised a phone call or email with at least an apology. Nothing received to date apart from a V from David. Both owners are lazy, rude, unhelpful and dishonest. Not impressed at all. Will never return. Definitely ask for a room change if you are placed in one of the rooms with the door linking another as they are not fit for purpose and provide no sound privacy whatsoever.

Lovely stay . Staff were friendly showed us round and what door to use. Car parking round the back . Room was nice and clean . I slept for 15 hours ...must of needed it

A comfortable stay. Good value for money. Conveniently situated. You get what it says in the tin. Pleasant staff at breakfast who couldn't have been more attentive.

The man carried out the check in made us very uncomfortable. Perhaps because we were staying only one night or because of our accent.
