XX Miglia

stylish, clean, lovely owners, highly recommended.

I have to admit that on driving through the outskirts of Catania I was a bit concerned but it turns out to be a very beautiful city. The same goes for this B&B. At first from the outside it does not look inviting but once you are in it is beautifully finished, modern and fresh with WiFi and air con in all rooms. The owners are very friendly and helpful. There is an honesty fridge that should be double the price that they charge. Highly recommended.

We could not fault the B&B for the care and attention the owners give to their guests. The rooms are spacious and well kept. Breakfasts had plenty of choice with a multitude of cakes to choose from as well as the usual fayre. Do not judge the B&B by the building it is housed in, as it is in complete contrast to it. We would recommend that visitors use the main road that the B&B is situated in to walk to the centre of Catania. only 5-10 minutes away, as the other route takes you through a less salubrious area.

Very nice owners. Wonderful breakfast in a beautifull room. Big room to sleep and confortable bed. Good situation. Easy to park during the weekend.

Very good place to stay. Room was clean. Cristian & Angelo (the owners) were very nice. Breakfast was good if a bit different from what I would normally eat, e.g. cakes, etc. Fruit, yoghurt and cereal provided also. Good coffee. Shower cubicle quite small. Fine for me but if you were a larger person, you might have trouble closing the door! A bit difficult to find the entrance to the B&B. Look out for the wrought iron gates and push the button for XX Miglia. Very secure and much nicer inside than it looks from the outside. Beautiful paintings on the walls and ceilings in the breakfast room.

Excellent exotic breakfast with a wde range of local cakes as well as more traditional continental breakfast items. Over our 18 days in Sicily this is the best breakfast range we have come across having stayed in a wide range of hotels, etc. Property is on the fourth & fifth floor of a building with no lift, so need to be able bodied. A couple of rooms have a very steep stairs so if this is an issue for you make sure to ask for the other rooms. Some amazing ceiling paintings in the fourth floor breakfast room and some of the bedrooms. Not in the touristy end of town but convienent for the train and bus station.

The hotel is just at 5 minutes walking distance to the bus/train station and also very close to the city center. The hotel is clean and has lots of character. A big thank you goes to the staff who has always been happy to help with any queries. They have been very very helpful. Thank you guys for your kindness. If we are back in Catania, we'll chose the hotel XX Miglia again. Many thanks and good luck.

Wonderful setup; highly recommended. Walkup (no elevator) could be a drawback for some.
