ARTHOTEL Haar

Stayed for one night in August. We booked this hotel ONLY for the large (public) outdoor pool for our kids. The pool is accessible for free if you stay the night here. Rooms are not big. Mould on the bathroom ceiling. Large stains in the carpet and hallway. Bed is OK. Bed lamp did not work. No mini-bar, but there is a small mini fridge which works, you can use it for your own drinks or food. We didn’t take breakfast here, due to all the negative reviews here. There are better places to stay near Munich!

Very easy check in with multilingual staff very welcoming with the room having ample space and great cleanliness the sauna was free if charge to use but the pool area is an extra charge per day but it is extremly large

Where do I start? Distinctly unprofessional staff, tacky decor, a bathroom that needed replacing 10 years ago, uncomfortable beds (I had the misfortune of spending 2 sleepless night here), and NO AC! I called reception to ask for an iron/ironing board and was told that I had to head down myself and carry it back to my room: SERIOUSLY?! Plus side: it is cheap, but then again so is sleeping on a park bench...

My booking was made as part of a block booking - normally I would have booked myself via one of the internet booking websites where you are protected if you have to cancel. I have had to cancel my booking due to my husband's ill-health and despite two or three requests to the hotel for some sort of goodwill refund, they have stood firm and haven't offered me a single Euro despite the fact that I cancelled a month in advance of our date of arrival. They have said that they are treating me as a "no show" but have had plenty of time to re-hire the room. This is not a happy situation. Beware.

Good things first: Nice location, friendly staff, good breakfast, and the management of the hotel has an agreement with the public pool which is just around the corner to the effect that hotel guests can use the public pool for free. Now for the bad parts: the place needs renovating. badly. See pictures. Also: the wifi is a joke. Absolutely unusable for anything resembling work. Couldn't even get my email.

I stayed just overnight on the travel, arriving in the evening and leaving in the morning. Room vas rather poor but the price was low, too. There is also a restaurant but don't expect much in the evening . the receptionist can prepare something small and serve a beer.

Nice hotel close to Munich. clean hotel, very friendly staff.

Rooms are very small. House keeping only came once in 5 days.
