Be careful - this is not a five star property, and room descriptions are misleading. We booked the top room category and ended up placed in a corner suite with next to no natural light/no view. The balcony had nowhere to sit and was attached to the lounge/conference room next door and accessed through a side door, so it felt like someone else's. We were offered access to this space but it didn't really help. Staff are clearly experts at managing these situations (due to a lot of practice?) and when it was clear we were prepared to leave, they bumped another couple and moved us to a room with a view as advertised (sorry other couple!). This was a lower room category and we were advised a refund for the difference wasn't possible due to booking.com. Kevin's customer service was impressive but didn't make up for the poor facilities. Hotel felt very dated, and even in the much better room we felt it wasn't worth the money. Book it for the pool, but don't expect anything high end. Location was fine.

The property was in an ideal location, close to the main points of Sapa and spectacular views. The room was large and comfortable, with the amenities expected. The outdoor pool was freezing but great for cooling off after a trek.

The breakfast wasn’t great, we ended up going elsewhere for breakfast instead. The staff were ok but not particularly friendly or helpful upon check in or check out - the reception staff hardly acknowledged you which was disappointing.

The room and the view was amazing!
