The Payogan Villa Resort & Spa

The staff were absolutely wonderful, so accommodating! The place was a little out of Ubud but they offer a free shuttle into town a couple times a day. Rooms were extremely clean and huge. The private infinity pool was the highlight!

The hotel has great premises-rooms are huge and comfortable, the private pool is great. The view from private villas top everything up. However the service was very low; it was slow, employees barely spoke English, room cleaning constantly kept "not seeing" dirty glasses. There was only one good receptionist which was very helpful. The furniture in the room could use updates, as our dining table was crooked to one side; the extra bed had dust on rails. However, I would recommend this hotel to those, who prefer amazing views at a reasonable price!

Very nice hotel, excellence staff. The only downfall is mosquitos which they do spray and are uncontrollable to the hotel. Resort was clean and breakfast is delicious.

Nice remote resort in Ubud (remote and quiet). Not a resort for kids because there is nothing there for them to do. If you want a romantic holiday or just want to get away from the noise of the city, this place is perfect.

We had two nights at the Payogan Resort and Spa in Ubud. The resort is truly beautiful, breathtaking scenery and gardens - our villa was very private - with our own pool. The villa was well equipped with everything we needed. The staff were extremely attentative and helpful and easy to understand! The hotel runs a free shuttle to and from the town centre every two hours - which we used each day. We dined in the restaurant one evening, food was top class. Breakfast was included in our stay and it was also delicious with plenty to choose from. The villas are a long walk from the hotel reception and because of this the hotel happily provides a buggy service to and from reception - just a call and the buggy was there immediately to collect us. The hotel arranged a sunrise trek up to the volcano at a very good price. We were quoted varying costs for this - but the hotel was the easiest and cheapest - and the trek was professionally run etc. Would definitely recommend a stay here, and I will be staying again, should I visit Ubud.

HORRIBLE wifi, bad food, private pool isn't cleaned and was green with snake skin by the pool.... Woulda been nice to have a clear pool without worrying I'm going to step on a snake. Everything else was good

Very beautiful and luxury villa. Big and spacious room with very nice garden view. Staff are friendly and helpful. Also, they provide good breakfast.

Payogan was a very beautiful hotel! The room was very comfortable and had a lovely pool and deck. The grounds of the resort are beautiful, especially the main pool, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The spa was also great, and the food quite good! To note, wifi only works in the resort lobby. We enjoyed the honeymoon package and loved every minute!

This place is wonderful and I've been to Bali over 30 times. Staff are great, the buggy rides to lobby and room are fun. The Valley views are awesome and our own pool was incredible. The beds were comfortable, too! You can easily travel around the island from this central location. A great experience for the Bali traveller.

Loads of room at the Payogan and it's incredibly peaceful. The villas are huge and the pool's lovely. The food isn't great however and it's a good 20 min cab into town as the hotel is in a fairly remote spot. There's a free shuttle which is useful. Drink it expensive so you're better off bringing in your own and going to the town for dinner. Still it's pretty and the staff are helpful.
