Homewood Suites by Hilton Fort Lauderdale Airport-Cruise Port

Very clean, good staff, very close to the airport but also close to different restaurants and places, good breakfast buffet.

The sofa bed is a little uncomfortable

Convenient to cruise terminal and airport. Nice to have Wendy’s close by. Staff was great.

The breakfast could be better. More selection and more space for people to eat.

Be sure to read reviews before booking. Front desk pleasant and friendly. I took steps rather than risk my life in the single operating elevator. The furniture in our room looked like local thrift shop rejects. I immediately checked for bed bugs and didn’t see any evidence but noticed the mattress cover on the king bed was shredded with holes everywhere. The pullout couch looked like it came off the streets. As a travel agent who is always looking for places to refer clients and a Hilton brand lover, I will not be recommending this place. Hilton should be embarrassed!

I chose this hotel for the price, the free shuttle from the airport and the free breakfast included. Definitely would recommend this hotel. I flew in to go on a cruise and needed one night's accommodation near the port. The evening receptionist - Angela Ramirez - was so friendly and helpful when I called from the airport for the free shuttle. Then she was lovely when I arrived and booked in. The room was great. Much more than I needed. Great to have the microwave to heat my dinner. The bed was very comfortable and I fell asleep straight away. Didn't hear any noise from the nearby highway. The free breakfast was great too. Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and toast. As long as you get there when the food is just being brought out, it will be steaming hot. Loved the DIY waffle maker. Fun and tasty. Plenty of fruit juices to choose from, as well as various teas and coffee.

Prior to my trip, I did send a couple of emails asking about the free shuttle, which went unanswered. But when I called from the airport, I was told where to find the shuttle. The inside roof of the microwave needed a clean, otherwise the room was spotless. I mentioned it to reception when I left.

This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had, and Hilton should be ashamed to put their name on this property. Guests should be aware that you are required to pay for parking daily. The rooms are not cleaned properly—the carpets are filthy, and the microwaves don’t even work. The hotel has only one old, worn-down elevator, and after reading other reviews, I’m honestly relieved these were my only issues. I will never stay at this hotel again, and I’m warning all of my family and friends who cruise out of Ft. Lauderdale to avoid it as well. I truly wish I had checked the reviews before booking. Thankfully, it was only for one night. To top it off, the fire alarm woke us up in the morning.
