Hôtel Restaurant de la Poste et du Lion d'Or

We liked everything about this property (staff, comfort of the room, location...), except we found the cost of breakfast exorbitant.

Superior room was large with an enormous shower room. Very comfortable bed. Hotel is at the bottom of the road that leads up through Vézelay so great location for seeing all the sites. Ate elsewhere for dinner as didn't want to spend a fortune on evening meal. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Spoke French slowly so we could understand and have a conversation.

Our small group of touring musicians stayed at this wonderful hotel overnight, en route from Paris to another show in Lyon. I booked the hotel based on a number of factors - price, location, facilities, etc - and the reality of it surpassed all expectations, beginning with the wonderful welcome, care and service extended to us when we checked in. The hotel is a fabulous place to stay in the incredibly beautiful place that is Vézelay. Both accommodation and location are highly recommended.

Wonderful hotel. I've stayed there for years. Wouldn't choose anywhere else in the Vezelay region.

From the moment we stepped into the hotel we felt welcome. Check in was quick and friendly. The room was warm and comfortable. There was nothing else to ask for. And the restaurant was beyond our expectations.

Lovely hotel near to quite a busy road. Breakfast was over priced and disappointing.

Beautiful and comfortable. Good cheap metered parking if their paid lot is full. Good location.

The family bedroom was large and nicely redone and the hotel is perfectly located to visit Vezelay but price is extreme and the staff although pleasant is not particularly useful. Not a bad experience but you pay a lot for the location.
