Lovely elegant Hotel beautifully located fascinating Old Town with lovely staff, easy parking and strolling distance (a long stroll) from the beautiful Abbey.

We were looking forward to our overnight stay in Vezelay. The hotel public spaces have been refurbished, but the rooms are old and tired. We paid for 2 superior rooms, but we're very disappointed with the worn carpets, tired beds and dated bathrooms. One room was half the size of the other room and without a balcony, yet the same price. We spoke with management, but they didn't seem to care, stating they were individual rooms and in the same price category. We were very disappointed in their indifference and lack of customer service. FYI, we stayed at a ****hotel in Strasbourg for the same price of this run down hotel in the little village of Vezelay. Very poor value and we would not recommend this hotel.

Had a misunderstanding over car parking and the high cost of breakfast ( €40 per person!!) which I refused to pay and which was reduced to €12 pp. the self service breakfast was adequate but coffee supplies ran out after first cup. Staff were pleasant however and overall stay very welcome.
