All Nations Brisbane - Hostel

I enjoyed my stay, room was clean, I got a better room than I paid for, air con was amazing, big bathroom areas, and bed was comfy. It’s an old building so i don’t expect it to be spotlessly clean and fresh looking, as long as there’s a clean bed and clean toilets/showers I am happy. I have booked to stay again!

The room key was not working properly. And i was stuck many times outside asking for someone to open the door for me

Room was very tiny & very hot. Bed was comfy & everywhere was clean. My main issue was the man trying very forcefully to make me book a trip to Fraser Island.. after making it clear I wouldn’t be booking today as I had other friends to meet up with & discuss the rest of our plans , he was extremely pushy & in the end rude.. not a good way to try get people to book activities through Nomads!!!

Staff was pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and secure. Even though I was on a floor with mostly private rooms, it was very noisy and I had a hard time sleeping. The hostel is right across the street from the train station, which was convenient, and near plenty of restaurant options.

Ok hostell, close to central station, bath rooms shared with entire floor, cinda old bathrooms

Dryer took 3 hours of drying to dry one load, bathrooms dirty, especially the sinks, WiFi is lacking and only free in the lobby which lacks sufficient comfortable seating. Laundry costs and arm and a leg. Self-proclaimed party hostel but doesn't allow Alcohol in rooms and visitors can't stay past 7pm. I expect this is due to their partnership with the down under bar that's on the basement level.

All the lights are not working outside the rooftop rooms. Also, there should be chairs outside the rooms for those who don't want to sit with or join the rooftop parties. Internet signal was bad inside rooms. You have to go outside for better signal

Staff were very friendly And tried to be helpful! But the rooms and bathrooms were not clean. The Aircon sucked and there are only about 3 outlets in an 8 person room. When i told the staff the aircon wasn't working and the other girls in my room had already claimed the 2 fans he said "well thats unfortunate". A very large hostel where everyone is looking for a job. So don't stay here as a solo backpacker trying to meet people. Saw cockroaches my first day and the staff told me this is normal for Australia. And there was some other type of small bug in the lockers. Hostel is very large, way too many people and it's def a party hostel. Had trouble with my keycard 4 different times so I had to run up and down the stairs about 20 times. Which isn't to fun at 11pm when I want to sleep and everyone in the room is asleep so I can't just knock on the door. Kitchen is large which was good since there was so many people , did see a bug in the dry storage area. If you are looking for a job the hostel will help you search! And there is also a travel agent desk in the lobby to book tours. Again the staff were great , especially the man from New Zealand. He was cool !

Loudly all the time, disgusting kitchen, poor bathroom, horrible escalators.
