All Nations Brisbane - Hostel

Did not have any issues with check in/out. To get to 4th floor via lift you must have some physical abilities to hold external and internal doors of the carriage. As one girl said-"private room", hardly can call it private. At the moment when I open my door, everyone will wake up from a double squeak, then floor board will repeat sound of the door, when you step on it. Above every door there decorative holes, which means, doors are not sound proof. Walls inside of the room are stained from different generations stickers. Window can not be properly opened or closed. In the shower you don't have where to put your dry or/and dirty clothes. When you are trying to adjust water temperature, tap heads are falling on your bare feet. Loud music is banging until 3am with screams and loughs, possibly tenants need ear plugs. Had experience to go toilet in the bar downstairs. Entire floor was sticky and door was not closing and locking. Otherwise beer was nice with discount as a hostel tenant. There are many people of different backgrounds live in. My main concern is- cheap does not mean neglected, it is too disrespectful in many aspects. Thank you.

I did not know that there is a bar downstairs which made lots of noises.

This hostel is located right next to central station, so it is very convinient. There are many shops and malls within walking distance. I'd like to thank them for receiving a important package for me, and the receptionist gave it to me as soon as I checked in even before I asked for it.

Party hostel - ridiculously loud until 3am every day. I was on the roof and the room was still shaking. Also an absolute sweatbox with no air conditioning. Lift was also a pain to operate. Not recommended unless you are here to drink and party all night long every night.

Really bad kitchen - old building

Cheap accommodation, room is small but it does the job, the kitchen is a little bit smelly, the hostel has lift with is a bonus when you arrive from a long day, bathroom could be more clean. Staff is friendly.

Most enjoyable even better knowing Tuesday night are big and loud. But clean and tidy with comfortable bed all you need when you adventure all day

NO Airconditioning and sweltering hot! No sleep as had to take cooling showers in the middle of the night.

this place is appalling wouldve rather stayed in a homeless shelter than this pig stye by the end of my stay ive worked in 2 but stayed in so many hostels over the last 2.5 yrs so have had my share of bad experiences with hostels & know sometimes youre just unlucky but this is a new low. I will give it its positives: + the wifi in the lobby works which can be rare + central station is opposite so good transport access Negatives however are terrible: - you can feel & hear the music from the bar which is underground from 2 stairs up in the hostel until 4am-ish - the inside of the hostel is as humid & hot as outside = rooms stank of everyone sweating - there was generally a loud argument/fight to be heard late every night from the room - we had 1 powersocket with an extension lead on another to power a portable fan, a dehumidifier that was building up a smelly bowl of water plus 8 people's phones etc in rotation. its a major hazard, must be a H&S issue. - the hostel got trashed every night, often found food & cutlery spilled over wet floors in the hallways in the morning. Worst hostel ive been in the world. Never thought id be able to make such a drastic statement but i stand by it. this isnt even a get what you pay for situation its just terrible. Do yourself a favour, stay elsewhere however 1 staff member id like to thank is Nicola. She was notably helpful the times i spoke to her on reception & never made it seem like i was a burden which some did particularly at night.
