Really noisy! If you want to get sleep then don't stay here!!!!! Room was also not the cleanest with stains on walls and no mattress toppers.

The hostel was directly in front of us once we got out of the airtrain from the airport. How cool is that? If you've luggage and are merely staying for just one night, this place is a no brainer! The staff were cheery, helpful and eager to please. There was a locker (bring your own lock), the bed and mattress perfectly adequate and the room was clean and reasonably warm despite it being the start of winter. The downstairs bar was closing when we arrived but they directed us to The Guilty Rogue for our late lunch and we were given 20% off on producing our key. Though the ladies' bathrooms and toilets were clean, 2 out of the 4 bathrooms were write offs. There were 2 more ladies toilets further down the corridor. Sadly all the lifts were out of order but one of the staff was assigned to help guests with luggage. You have to pay a refundable deposit AUD 5 for the use of a set of cup and cutlery. The whole place can do with a new coat of paint. The building was a beautiful restored historical building and you can have a great view of the surrounding area. I didn't expect a lot for the comparatively LOW price I paid and overall it exceeded my realistic expectations.

I stayed in a private room booked online and upon check-in the staff member advised I had not paid for my room despite me advising I had and tried to double charge me. After 20 minutes spent waiting at reception and showing my email confirmation he finally let me up to my room. There isn't much in the room other than a bed and lamp. After getting to sleep the fire alarm went off at 3am for a good 10-20 minutes. Not the best night and the floors creak whenever people walk down the halls. The vibe that the staff have going is good and the red headed lady at reception in the morning on checkout was very friendly and helpful. If it's location your after this place is great.

It was very convenient, I could get to the train or bus less than 1 minutes and some interesting points were just around walking area, Unfortunately, one room guest stay over night with laud music on his PC so I couldn't sleep well. It's center of CBD, some noise wasn't avoid.,,,

would have been a much more comfortable stay had the air con worked properly, couldn't sleep till midnight due to heat in building even though air con was apparently on constantly, and tv/lounge area felt heated rather than cool and was extremely under size for number of guests seating for 5 with 100+ guests, but generally nothing ud be overly dissappointed with, just needs a little tlc n some good ideas

Always have a good stay, good option for a cheap stay in the city. Bar underneath is good fun too with cheap meals

Room was dirty and smelly. Wouldn't stay there ever again. Staff, however, were very nice.

I booked a twin room with my friend 6 weeks before we were to stay for 2 nights, and chose this hostel as it was close to central. When we arrived we were put in a double bed room, which was very small and quite run down (not what it looked like on the website). I went back down and spoke to reception, who moved us to a twin room, but it was still very run down. The aircon didn't provide any help (or maybe didn't work at all) during the hot nights, and the only way to keep the heavy windows open to get some air in was to use the bin to hold the window up. Also, the grates above the door had no glass or plastic to cover the holes, so there was no privacy in the room and nothing to filter the noise of people walking up and down the halls all night (or having sex down the hallway). Wouldn't stay here again...

When you stay here dont expect a hotel life of luxury... I stayed for 6 days in a 1 private bedroom and it was affordable and cheap. Staff were very good. Its very convinient.. The only thing i didnt like was taking showers and the male cleaners are there waiting for you to finish and being woken up by them so they can empty bin in your room. Otherwise its good.
