Grand Hotel Toplice

We had a great stay at the property; the location cannot be beat. Direct access to the walking path, rowboats and bikes made our two day stay very efficient. The rooms are dated, yes, but they are spacious and we heard they are about to start a total renovation. We had everything we needed, though the bed was a little soft ( to each his own). A special shout-out to the pool facility. It’s a WOW! The spring water is piped in, so beware…”fresh” means cold in Slovenian! But it was worth it! The facility is beautiful and the choice of saunas afterwards make you forget you were ever chilly. Hopefully the renovations stop short of the pool bc it needs nothing.

A beautiful centrally located Hotel right on the Lake with fantastic views of the lake and surrounding areas. We were allotted a room which was very small, so we paid for an upgrade to a suite which was nice. The breakfast was superb and thestaff very polite and helpful. It is going to go in for a renovation soon.

The best hotel in lake bled , history , class and wonderful attentive staff.

I visited charming Lake Bled and always stayed in Grand Hotel Toplice. There are several great hotels at Lake Bled but I personally think Grand Hotel Toplice is the best 5* hotel in this small town. I highly recommend this beautiful hotel. I specifically love great breakfast with champagne.

Just a wonderful location, right on the lake. Restaurant, terrace and tea room all have phenomenal views. Definitely worth it to pay for a lakeside view with balcony. Bonus of swallows nesting right on our balcony. Best hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. Receptionist and wait staff also super helpful and friendly. Not cheap but worth every penny.

This hotel is all about the views and the old vibe of lake bled. It is all in great condition, tho not updated very recently. We enjoyed staying here because of the balcony room.

The lakeside location and views from our room were outstanding, and we were lucky to have one of the recently renovated rooms, which was lovely, but still had a few faults. The shutter doors could not be secured open and will be subject to paint damage unless rectified. No phone had yet been installed in our room, which caused considerable inconvenience and the room should not have been made available without it. When we checked in, there was no porter to take our luggage and we had to take it in ourselves, not a a good start. The breakfast was very good but service in the breakfast room was sub-standard and the staff need a lot of training to be of a 5 star standard. I'm told that a large percentage of hotels in Slovenia are state owned, which may explain why standards are low. I would not class this hotel as 5 star, as lovely as it is, because of the faults outlined above.

Nice location on the lake. Disappointed Julijana was closed while we were there.
