Little dated but very Clean

Not complaining but for me the breakfast was too late for me starting 8.30am I was gone by 8.30 7.30 in about the normal

Nice room. I was upgraded to a double room. It was so hot but fans were provided and the room stay pretty cool during the heat wave. Nice selection of tea, coffee in room. Full English breakfast was great. Parking outside. Will definitely stay again.

Not much too dislike. Its a character building so mod cons like air conditioning would not suit the place.

EVERYTHING

From the moment we arrived to the time we left, EVERY member of staff we met were so friendly and happy. The room was clean, comfortable bed and pillows. Plenty of tea and coffee available. The weekend we arrived was the beginning of a heatwave, but we had a fan in the room, and Carol the owner kindly lent me a cooling mat for my dog. The breakfasts were amazing - you won't need lunch after. (you also get offered a muffin "for later") Also, the best coffee I've had in a long time. We were only 2 mins walk to the promenade and beach with beautiful views and gardens. I'm so glad I found this little gem which truly welcomes dogs. The Chudleigh will definitely be my "go to" place to stay each time I visit Clacton.

Didn't discover The Chudleigh sooner.

This was my first visit to Clacton-on-Sea, and although I checked in very late due to work commitments, Carol and her husband were absolutely outstanding. They made sure I was warmly welcomed, well looked after, and completely comfortable from the moment I arrived. Their kindness, smiles, and genuine hospitality were truly exceptional and unlike anything I had experienced before in the UK. Carol even kindly offered me a complimentary room upgrade, which was an amazing surprise. The room was spotlessly clean, beautifully presented, and incredibly comfortable. I will always remember Carol, her warm smile, and the wonderful welcome I received. I will definitely return and would love to stay at the hotel again with my family on my next visit.
