What a find! The location of the hotel was about 100yds from the sea front. I cannot fault the hotel. Everything was perfect and well above our expectations. Anything and everything you might need was catered for by the owners and they did a breakfast to die for! Clacton sea front was lovely..... cant understand why it sometimes gets a bad press. I will certainly stay there again. A huge thumbs up to the Chudleigh....

There was nothing not to like!

"A gem of a stay"

Exceptional staff welcome and service throughout- so friendly and helpful. Delicious breakfast with quality products. Great lounge area to meet with wider family. Central location. Extremely comfy beds, pillows and bedding.

Perfectly situated in Clacton for the pier, high street and local restaurants. We couldn't believe how well located The Chudleigh is. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome by Carol and her team. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room was a home away from home, with a comfy bed, beautiful big fluffy towels, lots of hot water and an extensive hospitality tray with numerous options to drink- even had a Cadbury's bar of Daily Milk to enjoy! One of the highlights of the visit was meeting Peter who cooked the most amazing breakfasts for us- his scrambled, poached and boiled eggs were perfect- his experience as a chef truly shows and the house speciality of fried bread needs an award to itself. We all felt relaxed after our stay, and all agreed it was like staying with your Nan and Grandad and being enveloped in a warm, cosy hug- we'll definitely be back and highly recommend.

This was a very comfortable, accommodating place to stay. It was central to where we needed to be and parking included. I can't fault the welcome we received (including our dog). The room was great but the breakfast was beyond great!!
