I was greeted very well by the lady who took me to my room, the site is wonderful for exploring the nature woke up one day by a Peacock high on a tree calling away wonderful

We arrive at dark night and the host couple welcomed us directly. They are very friendly and kind. One of my colleague had cold and they provided free medicine without hesitation. The room is bit cold and the general condition is just ok. It is bit noise during night due to the nearby highway. The room is clean but the shower sink was smelly. I saw some reviewer mentioned weak wifi. But for me, the speed was very good. I can even stream video. There is no restaurant for dinner. It is better to have your dinner somewhere else and then come to the hotel.

Very friendly people. Would like to go back in my next visit to Witham. As we always go to visit relations. Good English breakfast.

Excellent little getaway, very hospitable

Quite remote spot but sat nav picked up location. Converted farm buildings but very comfortable and warm inside. Breakfast is very good and is taken in a separate unit alongside bedroom block. WiFi not great but manageable

Stayed overnight on a Saturday before travelling to our final destination. Received a very warm welcome from David on our arrival and at breakfast next morning. Room nice and Clean and bed comfortable. Good alternative to budget hotel chains as more personal and furniture and fittings are a better standard. Some noise at night from road which passes over farm drive but no to bad unless you are a light sleeper. Rooms are on a working farm so you do see some farm buildings when looking out of some of the rooms, again not really a problem unless you were expecting to wake up expecting a view over rolling fields. Overall good value for money with a warm welcome garenteed.

We were attending a party in the area and needed somewhere nearby to stay. We were a little concerned that Stansted Airport is only a few miles away but were amazed that there was no traffic noise and no aircraft noise at all. The owner is friendly and helpful and the price included an excellent breakfast. An ideal place to stay for Stansted early or late departures.

We picked this from Expedia due to ratings and value and were not disappointed. Clean quiet rooms, close to road networks but not detrimental. Husband and wife team are on the ball and efficient, most excellent breakfast, and if you like certain requirements you can just email or ring in advance to let them know. Don't be put off by the unusual route in, it's one of the reasons individual bed and breakfasts win out over monotonous chains!
