We have felt for some time that the Hamptons are going downhill and showing signs of age. Hopefully we this Hampton is the rock bottom. This hotel is long overdue for a remodel. The toilet had brown stains in the bottom, the shower had visible mold and mildew all over it, the carpets had uncleaned pet stains (we did not take our shoes off), the blackout blinds were worn through. In addition the food at the breakfast was unfit to eat. The omelets were burnt, the cutup hot dogs were slimy and the potatoes were raw. There were no hard boiled eggs and very little fruit. Finally the breakfast room attendant was petting and making over a pet dog that was in the breakfast area (which IMO should not have been there) and we did not observe her washing or sanitizing her hands afterward. Fortunately, the Exmore diner is 5 minutes away with great food and service. When we checked in we asked to be on an upper floor because of past experience with pet stains in Hamptons. We were told "that housekeeping is short staffed and we are full for the night so there is only 1 room available for us to check into." Of course it was a first floor room. When we checked out at 11, most of the cleaning staff was downstairs smoking. When we told the front desk about the condition of the pet stained carpet, she told us that it is Hilton's policy to allow pets and there was nothing she could do about it. Maybe you should use the pet deposit to deep clean the room after the pet checks out!!!

Reservation was somehow changed from 2 beds to one and there was nothing done to rectify the situation. I was simply told the manger will give you a discount in the morning. This is the saddest Hampton I have ever seen. It's basically an old gross hotel with a remodeled lobby. Toilets and tub were moldy stained and gross. Carpet was old and dirty. Breakfast in the morning was terrible. Everything was empty. When ask about getting something I was simply told the truck isn't here yet there's nothing I can do about it. The woman simply did not care to do her job. The whole experience was awful.

So glad the Hampton Inn is pet friendly.

food was not replenished right away. We came in around for breakfast around 9am during our second day of stay. The food was almost done. It was not replenished right away so had to wait a little to get food.

We arrived on Friday evening. Hotel staff said they had were fully booked. That being the case better planning should have been done, The hotel provides breakfast every morning. The truck delivery didn't arrive until Saturday morning. All food items were not available because it was on the truck. The same thing happened Sunday morning, watered down orange juice. Guessing the full strength was still on the truck.
