"I have never felt so unwelcome. I felt more like an inconvenience."

The owner was not customer focussed. She refused to accept our booking confirmation from Booking.com and had not reserved a twin room for 2 nights. She said Booking.com were being taken to court. She gave us a double room for 2 nights and tried to charge us £200 instead of the booking.com price of £168.30. The place smelt of dogs. When I asked for a mug of hot water, I was given a mug with a sticky handle and told to get it from the water dispenser, which didn’t work. I had to go to the kitchen to ask again for a mug of hot water. I was then given both a mug of hot water and a teapot of hot water which I didn’t need or ask for.

The bed was really comfortable. Breakfast was good. We also ended up ordering dinner, they have a full chinese/Thai menu and it was delicious .

The welcome was lovely, the hotel quirky, interesting and beautifully presented, wonderful flowers and decor, run by the most amazing people. I’d not hesitate to return!
