Meryan House Hotel

A gorgeous 500 year old property with lots of character. The staff were lovely, very welcoming and with lots of great information. My room was very comfortable and clean. Great full English breakfast included with my booking. I chose to eat dinner there and had a very nice Thai green curry and rice- delicious! Highly recommended

The property is like a large family home so there was some slight noise from another room in the morning but it was actually quite nice to hear.

Full of character, nice breakfast room and lovely garden. The proprietors are very friendly and relaxed, especially as part of the breakfast experience. Slept like a baby!

There is nothing I didn’t like once you put everything into the context of it being an old building. Yes my room (twin but single occupancy) was a bit tired but it actually didn’t bother me one bit.

The historic building had be sympathetically decorated. The outdoor space was lovely too. Nice hot shower. Big bed. Team akin facilities welcome in room. Friendly breakfast server. Nice room to eat in.

I was not expected, apparently, despite my booking confirmation. My friend had to be very strong to convince the owner i was in the party. My room had not hanging space- rail or wardrobe. The shower plughole was backing up when on for a few minutes. Window difficult to open. Also, very noisy from pub opposite and associated traffic on closing about 12 midnight and beyond.

Lovely old style property with character features everywhere. Comfortable room. Good location in nice village with pub and small convenience store. Very nice breakfast cooked fresh to order.

Accessing car park a little tight if you have large vehicle but once in its fine.
