Quality hotel in excellent location. Good breakfast and evening meal. Excellent friendly staff

In need of a short mini break due to a house move, we chose Orestone Manor for its quiet location and fabulous food, which we sampled on a previous visit to Devon. From the moment of arrival, we were met with lovely reception staff, and shown to our beautiful room (no 7). The room is divided into 2 parts , bedroom and sitting area, both with a central picture window, overlooking the gardens and beyond to the sea. Our breakfast was fabulous, much to choose from,both English and continental and excellent quality produce. This also applied to our evening meals and wine choices. We thoroughly recommend Orestone Manor for a relaxing break, where you are very well treated, by all the staff. Lastly, there is plenty of parking within the grounds.

A superb family run hotel. We had a three day weekend stay in September and enjoyed the whole experience. The food was superb and all of the staff professional and friendly. The views are stunning. Local walks are challenging but worth the effort. We will stay there again.

Well booked this weekend Thursday to Sunday in December 23 for the wife’s birthday treat, I have never been to Torquay so had no knowledge of the hotels in the area, oh my god how lucky were we? Our accommodation was room 1 which is the cottage at the side of the hotel which is so private, with its own front terrace, Jacuzzi, wooded area with sea views, wow! The food on our stay both at breakfast and dinner was the best we have experienced at a hotel and we have stayed in many in the UK and Europe, compliments to the Chef, the staff were fantastic and we could not have expected this experience. Well done, highly recommended!

My partner and I stayed for the weekend and had a fabulous experience. The staff were very attentive and a happy team. Our suite was great and it had the best view of the private garden and the sea. We ate in the restaurant both evenings and the food was faultless. We would of liked to eat there for Sunday lunch but when we arrived we were already advised they were fully booked which was a shame. I would highly recommend this family run hotel. Location is near to Torquay, but feels like you are in the middle of nowhere.

A quality, well maintained and traditional hotel. The food and service for Sunday lunch was very good indeed. The roast beef in particular was excellent, The gardens were well maintained, and the outside seated area likewise. All in all, a very pleasant way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Karen in reception greeted us when we arrived, very freindly, helpful, informative and showed us to our room. She also booked a taxi for us for the evening out. The room was lovely, clean tidy and beautiful view. We had breafast in the morning, lots of choice. We would love to return to this hotel in the future. Sue and Andrew

We had the most basic room. However it was perfectly comfortable and clean. Good Bathroom and comfy bed. The highlight is the the dining. First class evening dinner. Not cheap , but worth it. Breakfast for £10 was fabulous value. Would come back again.

Exquisite!! Booked a two night stay for a first time visit to the area - it was perfect for us. It did feel odd having to book a time for dinner and breakfast but once experienced we totally got it. You relax in the bar and then get wonderful service to your table and everything is relaxed and there is time for all the attention you could ever need. The food was so good. The room was personal, with a gorgeous view of the garden and the sea beyond. Best of all we went to the kitchen to say thanks for the amazing diner and met the family - who produce the food and run the business. Such a wonderful stay - can't recommend enough. Thank you

Didn't know Hotels like this still existed! After previous reviews this was a delight to write. From the initial contact with Laura, the spotless housekeeping, excellent waiting staff. This Hotel is how all hotels should be, welcoming, great food and service. If we could have stayed longer we would, full up. Thank you for restoring my faith in Hotels. Gem of a Hotel and nearby Babbacombe, which looked stunning too, with it's Cliff Railway, Theatre and beautiful views all close by and Shaldon, Teignmouth the other way.
