Elba Lanzarote Royal Village Resort

Beautiful site and individual accommodation with outside furniture was much appreciated. Due to staff shortages there were often queues at bars and the dining room not ready for new people to sit and eat. Food choices at all meals was very good. Daytime activities for children excellent. Evening entertainment - some very good e.g. quiz, magician, but others only ok e.g. Route 44.

Good location about 15 minutes walk from playa blanca. The atmosphere in the hotel was very good, we went in half term with our 4 year old daughter, most other guests had kids so no one was put out by having kids running round and the odd tantrum etc. The apartment was great with a sofa bed for our daughter and two singles pushed together for us. We would have preferred one large bed for us though without a gap in the middle. The grouped apartment arrangement was very nice and made it feel like there wasn't loads of people there when in fact there was, it gave a great illusion of privacy and exclusivity in the apartment outdoor area. The bathroom window where overlooked was not very obscure when dark outside, we hung a towel over ours, a blind or film overlay would be a good addition. The food in the restaurant was generally excellent for a buffet and considering the number of people there wasn't much queuing and food was restocked quickly. The drink service in the restaurant was slow unfortunately and could be improved with some form of self service drinks machine maybe using RFID from the room card. The drink service at the pool bar was a little slow at peak times but no worse than a fairly busy pub, never more than 5 or 6 people in the queue, but only ever 1 staff member serving. The heated swimming pool felt a little cold, a couple of degrees increase would help, but didn't put our daughter off. It was around 19 degrees c air temp when we went but if it was warmer weather it would be fine. The local waterpark was a similar water temperature so it must be standard there. Overall the kids pool was great for the little ones as was the kids club. The activities could be advertised better which would improve take-up, maybe a central notice board somewhere. The staff were all always really friendly and helpful, a real credit to the hotel. Overall we had a great relaxing time and would recommend the hotel as good value and enjoyable to anyone wanting to visit Lanzarote.

Jewelry was stolen from the room during our stay. Upon reporting this to management and staff, very little was done only check who entered the room. When the manager came to the room, she proceeded to tell us that the door and windows were difficult to close/lock and proceeded to check were we doing it correctly. We were. We are very careful when travelling and double check everything everytime we leave the room. We were then told that no one except for ourselves and the cleaning staff entered the room. This was a huge cause for concern. The manager advised that evening that she would be doing a full internal investigation with the staff. The next day upon voicing our concerns again regarding the investigation, we were told they trust their staff completely yet they were the only ones to enter the room during that time. When ask what investigation was done internally, we were told that a picture of the jewelry was sent to the heads of department. The matter was not taken seriously whatsoever and our concerns were dismissed so flippantly. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone wishing for a safe and secure hotel environment. Apparently they have security on site but when we were leaving, the security were sitting in the dark at the back of the lobby area. This was the cherry on top of other aspects such as the abysmal dining options, freezing pools, unreliable air conditioning, smells coming from the drains and the dirty plates/cutlery in the dining areas. Hard working front line staff are keeping the seams from bursting in this hotel.

After I booked this hotel I started reading reviews and was really worried about it but when we got there stuff was helpful and rooms was nice like the outdoor area. Not much space for 4 people for clothes. The rooms got cleaned everyday so that was good. All I will say is the food let the hotel down massively was enough choice and themed nights wasn’t really a theme just the same things everyday. Tables was never cleaned felt like they was surrounded everyone we sat down and the que to get Afro k was shockin. Pool was nice for the kids but again getting drinks was a nightmare it’s just masi ku under stuffed would I stay agin definitely not but that’s mainly due to food we had to eat out most nights

Just back from another fantastic stay at the Elba…we had a brilliant time as always and met some fantastic people!! There is a massive selection of food across different places we especially enjoyed the T-bone steak!! (Chefs kiss!) Miriame and olatz Jennifer thank you! The kitchen/bar staff work so hard here at the hotel and provide different theme nights as well as a huge selection at every meal time… big thank you to Danny Chuss adrienne and suzzette at the adult only bars and to raul Dianne Jaqueline and destiny at the pool bar… yes there was ques at the bar but what do you expect in the school holidays it’s just like any pub at home there’s a bit of a Que staffing is an issue across the whole sector of hospitality on the island…our room was immaculate!! Cleaned and replenished daily. We enjoyed the activity’s with the absolutely brilliant animation team lead by Costa and we got to meet the new member Jennifer she’s lovely…. We really enjoyed the food and drink demos with ramone and the lovely Lulu!! A little too much on mojito days!! Then had a ball watching the variety show hosted by all the animation team you guys are out of this world with the highest levels of energy and positivity!!! ❤️🫰🏻make sure to check out Danny and mikes dance …. The hotel grounds are spotless and we have had zero issues… thank you to every single member of staff at this hotel who work endlessly to make us happy and create memories we will never forget it’s home from home for us… thank you all for having us again we look forward to coming home soon

A return visit for us to the Elba, we were lucky with the weather and as requested we were in a quiet location and it was very peaceful. The cleaners work very hard to keep everywhere spotless especially our room, and the gardens are very well maintained too, they should be congratulated! The Nonna restaurant was superb, a 2nd would have been ideal. The main meals were good, could have been hotter but a good choice, strange not to offer coffee after dinner. The two bars did get a bit busy but the queue was fine for us.... all in all, a lovely week away in the sun!

L’hôtel est propre et les équipements conforme à la description. Le buffet est varié. Les chambres sont modernes et propres. 1 piscine chauffée. Nous avons aimé les entrées au spa incluses dans notre chambre.

Pas de brosse de toilette, et quelques incivilités des anglais (verre à outrance autour de la piscine alors que des bacs sont prévus pour déposer les verres) mais le personnel ni est pour rien.

This hotel is absolutely appalling. The food was much a bit desired, lunch rolled into dinner and I think sometimes breakfast. There was only a small choice for children which was the sane thing day in day out. You had to search for members of staff in the dining area to clean the table for you as they were constantly filthy tables everywhere you Look and then you also had to go find a member of staff to come and take your drinks order which was an absolute nightmare. You can’t blame the staff at the hotel as it is completely under staffed and they do the best they can, but unfortunately due to Management it makes the experience for Holiday makers very frustrating. The all inclusive drinks was also much to be desired and most cocktails came out of the slutty machine with while we was there broke down for threedays. The selection of food and drink was terrible and for the money you paid you would expect a little more as it seems to be all they served was the cheapest ingredients and drinks they could find on the market. The hotel is in need of refurbishment as the pictures you see must’ve been taken the date was opened and there has been quite a bit of deterioration since thenespecially inside of the rooms. The nighttime entertainment was saved together 10 minutes before it actually started, and the one group that did come in from out of the hotel to entertain with mediocre at best. I would definitely not come back to this hotel again and I would not recommend anyone go to this hotel as this place needs a shake up and money pumped into it. I’m just so annoyed I didn’t read the reviews before booking the holiday as I have been completely disappointed by my stay at Elba Lanzarote.

Rooms ok, however black mold on the walls near the sofa beds.. cleaner wants to clean at 5.30pm when your getting a shower... The food in the buffet is ok, you have to find a table and then if your lucky enough to find a member of staff to clean it, otherwise you need to clean it yourself and get your own drinks and cutlery! Check the cutlery for clean ones otherwise they are dirty. If a drink is spilled or cup smashed clean it yourself and the staff will happily watch you. Ive stayed in 2 star which have been more cleaner and been more efficient. Would not stay here again and we have been coming to Lanzarote for years... previously stayed at Rio and flamingo and would possibly go back to Lanzarote but not Elba. The entertainment staff try hard. We had to pay to go into the spa 20 euro each and 10 for child and that's only till 1pm... The nicest thing was the cheese and wine tasting. Sorry to say but this hotel is poor and would do better if had more staff! Still here for a few more days, hopefully the Italian restaurant is better but Im not expecting much.
