Elba Lanzarote Royal Village Resort

Very clean, well maintained and catered for everything we needed. Accommodation was excellent, food was excellent, great variety.

We stayed at Elba a couple of nights weeks ago and ultimately it is disappointing and we would not return. The hotel has a great deal of potential but is poorly managed. The pros: The rooms are nice and well set out. The animation team are very nice and friendly. The grounds are well maintained and look nice. The cons: The food is not great - It’s extremely repetitive mostly overcooked and from my opinion not made with any care. The queue for drinks in both bars is ridiculous - You can easily queue for 15 minutes at a time to just go and pick up a couple of cokes or beers. The pools are all cold - the little ones are heated slightly which means they are overcrowded and the big ones are hardly used as they are so cold. This means the sun beds by the warm pools are all full but plenty of space by the cold ones. Every morning at breakfast they run out of coffee cups and plates - On 4 of the 7 days I had to ask for a coffee cup and wait around for a staff member to go to the kitchen to get me one. The juices at breakfast are undrinkable and the machine that dispenses them is not clean. Leading up to the holiday I read some reviews of those that have had a similar experience and hoped that the management were listening and doing something about the issues. It looks like they are not! Replying to a review is not the same as fixing the issue. If you have booked with Elba and can swap I’d probably consider doing so, especially if you value food and drink being an important part of your holiday.

We booked this hotel expecting a 4-star experience, but unfortunately it fell well short of that standard. I had stayed at the Elba in Palma Nova a few months before which was beautiful, so thought this was a safe bet...sadly not! The restaurant was one of the biggest disappointments. At almost every meal we had to clear and set up our own table because so many were left dirty. Finding clean tables, mats, crockery and cutlery became a daily scavenger hunt. Food quality was really poor, with oxidised fruit, undercooked chicken and slimy sweetcorn all served during our stay. You couldn't get served a drink with lunch and they got stroppy if you helped yourself. Our room wasn't much better. On arrival, I stepped on broken glass, and the dust on the walls was so thick it was impossible to ignore. Overall, cleanliness throughout the hotel was well below what we expected. The bar was another constant frustration. Queues were regularly 15–20 people deep with only one person serving. There wasn't a single day when we didn't spend a significant amount of time waiting, which was particularly difficult as my mum has mobility issues. We did raise our concerns with hotel staff during our stay. While they made a small change to how we entered the dining area, very little else was done to address the issues we reported. No hotel is perfect, but the combination of poor cleanliness, disappointing food, constant queues and the lack of meaningful action when problems were raised left us feeling very let down. Sadly, this was not the 4-star holiday we were sold.

Yet another great visit to this fabulous hotel this being my 6th visit and won't be my last.Again stayed in the Premium adult only section of the Elba. Villas are really spacious and well maintained with lovely surrounding well tended gardens the perfect place to relax.Food selections very good no negatives there,something for everyone, drinks plenty of choice but would prefer to have branded drinks as opposed to local brands but not really that much of an issue. Long queues still at the La Bohema bar, just need extra staff.......but all in all a great place to holiday, especially if you have children and stay in the resorts village, the animation team do a tremendous job with the night time entertainment for the adults and for the children engaging with all ages, nationalities, even getting them to sing in different languages and dance routines which they all do with great gusto.Pepe is a real winner for this hotel, long may it continue.

We had a wonderful stay at Elba Lanzarote and would highly recommend this hotel, especially for families. The food was excellent, with plenty of variety and options to suit everyone’s tastes. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The hotel offers a welcoming atmosphere and great facilities, making it an ideal choice for a family holiday. The only one slight negative would be the pools are cold.

Malheureusement il y avait de la moisissure dans notre chambre, au niveau de la salle de bain, le bas de la porte était gondolé d’humidité Le vis à vis des terrasses de chaque logement qui réduit l’intimité La climatisation qui ne fonctionnait pas toujours

We had three rooms and each room had faults my fan was hanging off the wall balcony door wouldn’t lock the other rooms bathroom had a leak a/c didn’t work food was really bad most nights snax available were crisps (soggy) and jelly sweets that was it 20 min walk to town otherwise nothing there

This was our second visit to the Elba and we were not disappointed. From initial interaction with Reception through to Housekeeping, Adult Pool Bar, Restaurant and Main Bar all staff were polite, courteous and more than happy to assist. The main restaurant for adults only, always had a wide choice of foods for breakfast and evening meal. The adult pool bar had a wide choice of snacks and was covered by an amazing character by the name of Cush. Always had a cheery attitude and quick to serve. The adult pool had on a daily basis demonstrations provided by Ramon, always a pleasure with his stories and concoctions. The room we were provided with was spotless and well maintained by housekeeping, the grounds were well looked after, the only blip was the usual sunbeds as not enough provided at the adult pool, always busy (though we never failed to get one) and there was one or two disappointed guests who didn't get one. The pool was its self clean and well maintained. The adult, all inclusive package is well worth the value.

We have just returned from a 10 night stay at the Elba resort. Overall the hotel complex is very good. Food was always a varied choice, omelettes were always nice in the morning with varied fillings. Hotel reception staff, bar staff and entertainment team were fantastic. Our room was at the back of the resort which was perfect on a night time it was lovely and quiet and you could relax outside. My daughter fell in love with a little tabby cat that she called blue who would come over to us in the morning and evening for a little fuss. The hotel location is really good and only about a 10 minute walk to the beach and 5 minute walk to the water park. Pool facilities are really good and a lot bigger than it looks on the photos/google maps. I did notice on the last day that there is a seat for disabled people in the main pool to help them get in that I thought was really nice to see. The only negative I have about the hotel is the afternoon/evening in the restaurant is the drink service. This was very hit and miss, some times you could be waiting for 10-15 minutes to get a drink. When you did go over to the staff they could be rude In telling you to go back to ten table and they will come and take your order. Some staff would see us sit down and ignore us to take our drink orders, in the end we would take our drinks of water in rather than wait for the staff. We would return again as the resort it self is very good but the restaurant staff need to be improved on
