Serenity Alpha Beach

I’m a current guest of the hotel, on day 8 of my trip. I’ll start with the good. The hotel grounds are nice, from the hotel lobby and restaurants to the gardens. The staff are incredible and really do their best to make your stay worthwhile. They are attentive and super friendly. Now for the not so good (in my opinion). The rooms are not the best when you consider the rest of the hotel grounds. They really need modernising to make them nicer. The WiFi is good in communal areas, such as restaurants/the lobby but very intermittent in the room. There is a pool table in the lobby that you can pay €2 per hour to play on but it needs to be thrown away and replaced - it is the worst pool table you will ever try to play on and the cues are in awful shape too. If you like to have a few drinks then you won’t find any premium liqueur here and the food has been hit and miss. I’ve found the food to be very poor quality (bland flavours) in the buffet restaurants for half of my time here and good the other half - although there is generally a good choice of options. I ate at the Italian a la carte restaurant and found that to be really poor, but the Mexican was fairly good and the Indian restaurant is exceptional - a real gem that the hotel should do more to promote. I’m eating at the Brazilian steakhouse tonight because I’ve heard good things from other guests, but this comes at an additional charge of €20 per person for an eat as much as you like experience. Although the staff are nice, there are a lot of commission based sellers (trips/spa treatments etc) that work the pools and you find yourself being stuck talking to someone every 2 minutes, and they are clearly trying to make big mark ups from you, because some of the spa treatments are cheaper in England! (Although you can barter). As a tip, you can get a ‘do not disturb’ sign and hang it under your parasol and they’re generally quite good at leaving you alone then. If you want to book trips then you’re best to speak to Mohamed at the taxi bay in the lobby, he’s really friendly and will give you a reasonable price for what is being offered, providing local guides and private drivers, which is better than what your tour operator will do. He even arranged breakfast boxes for me, my wife and our driver from the hotel when we hadn’t even asked for them - which was a nice touch. Overall, I have enjoyed my stay here, but the hotel needs to work on a few things to make it truly a 5* in my opinion.

Yemekler ve özellikle tatlılar harika. Tüm Personel güleryüzlü, ilgili ve çalışkan, hiçbir şeyin eksikliğini hissetmedik. Daha ilk girişimizden ayrılışımıza kadar olan süreçte bize çok anlayışlı ve misafirperver davranan resepsiyonist Muhammed, Mazen, Mahmud ve isimini hatırlayamadığımız tüm personele ve otel yönetimine çok teşekkürler. Burayı kesinlikle yakınlarıma tavsiye edeceğim.

Fabulous hotel, the buildings may not be 5* but the staff make up for it, the food was excellent and I’m veggie, so many staff that make your stay enjoyable from Alaa(aka David Beckham) who made sure we always had what we needed to mamoud at the pool and walid in the restaurant, the entertainment team always busy special thanks to Abbie, then there’s Peter in the mornings who welcomes you with a smile at the bay watch restaurant and Eslam who has our drinks at the ready! All I can say is you will love this hotel I honestly could not find fault with it the rooms were very clean and after worrying about the mozzies there’s was no need as no bites! You will love it here!!

We stayed at Serenity Alpha Beach (used to be Serenity Makadi Beach) in July 2024 and honestly had such a good time. The hotel was spotless the whole week, and the facilities were way better than we expected. We spent most of our time at the adults-only pool area – it was really chilled, no loud music, no kids running around, just proper peaceful. The main pool we used had a pool bar right in the middle and loads of space to lie half in the water on the sloped edges, which was ideal when the heat picked up. It was honestly bliss – just laying there, drink in hand, sun on your face but still cool. Couldn’t fault it. Our room was on the ground floor and opened out onto the pool and gardens, which was perfect for us. Made everything so much easier – straight out in the morning to grab a sunbed, and just as easy to pop back in for a shower or chill on the terrace before dinner. Food-wise, it was way better than we expected for an all-inclusive. Big variety, something new most days, and really decent quality. We were never ill, which can sometimes be a worry in Egypt, and always looked forward to mealtimes. The beach was also spot on – soft sand, clear water, and loads of colourful fish and coral if you fancy a bit of snorkelling. The beach bar did some great snacks too if you didn’t fancy heading back up to the main restaurant. All in all, it was one of the most relaxing holidays we’ve had. If you’re after a peaceful, adults-only vibe with good food, great service, and plenty of sun – I’d definitely recommend it.

Our 3rd stay here now it has definitely become our second home. The staff here from managers to cleaners go out of their way to make your stay as perfect as possible. The towel art in the room was fantastic. The food as always hit the right spot from breakfast through to dinner. The animation team are absolutely fab especially Miley Moksha Katlyn Abby and of course Mido. Mario the sand art man is absolutely fantastic his skills are so good I would definitely recommend paying him a visit. All the bar staff were amazing. It was good to see Aladin and Eslam again. Thank you all for making our holiday special and cannot wait to come back for our next visit.

Stayed from the 8th of June until the 22nd in room 2054. Everything about this holiday was fantastic, Food, pools, cleanliness. Our cleaner was lovely and so helpful. The pool area was well looked after by Khaled, who is such a nice and helpful man. Mamhood looked after us with a big cheerful smile, we missed him the last few days as he went on holiday, but the waiter who took over was lovely. All in all the staff were lovely. Thank you so much for a lovely holiday, will definitely recommend. .

Couldn't fault this hotel.... Hussain on room service first class.... We were in room 3236...had a sea view.... I've read some have said it over looks waste ground.... I used tto like watching the quad bikes and having a beer..... All staff friendly and helfull... Speciality restraunnts good.... We enjoyed Indian the best plenty to eat and drink... The manager brought us oout some moree😎... If you like to walk out and look rondd there's not much about but we didn't intend to go far as we've done all the trips before... Wife bought some body oils from achmed nice friendly chap.... As said very nice all round.... If you've got bad legs... No lifts.... Get a ground floor room.... Other than that 10 out 10....most members of staff called mo.... Main pool mo friendly and hiis matte can't recall his name... Liked the jet ski display in the pool.... Haven't seen that in u k!! Orr any where😍

Good resort! Very good food! We was very surprise about the food, really! Clean and good room. The beach: the sunbad need upgrade! They have a nice coral but...the red flag its up all the time 🫥. Animation Team not really present, can be better! In the rest all staff are very nice and work for you to have a good stay. Thank you mister Mohamed for all. You make our holiday to be the best one! 🙏🙏🙏

Myself and 18 year old daughter have just come back from a week at this hotel. This wasn’t our first trip to Hurghada so the hotel had a lot to live up to as we wanted to try somewhere different. The staff really do make this hotel, always very clean and well presented and really cannot do enough for you. Unfortunately I came down with a horrible cold and felt quite unwell from day 3, the main bar man was so good bringing me cold drinks, iced coffee and ice cream. Emad at the pool really looked after me too with sunbeds, towels etc. It was nice to chat with the staff and hear them talking so fondly about their managers and working conditions, something that is an important factor when I decide whether to return to a hotel! The food is varied and there is something for everyone (no upset tummies), pancakes and yummy pastries for the younger ones, fresh fruit and delicious yoghurts and omelettes for breakfast! The beach bar is super for snacks and I love that it wasn’t self service table service from a menu, from amazing salads to fresh pizzas!! Personally I wasn’t a fan of the cocktails, like many AI hotels in hurghada they’re not great just lots of syrup, no particular flavour and not very well presented. That said thanks to my cold I got to enjoy lots of iced tea and iced coffee which was always good. We tried 3 al a carte restaurants whilst we were there, Italian (at Alma), Indian and Mexican! The Indian was my favourite and my favourite waiter was there who also works the restaurant outside at breakfast. A big shout out for the animation team, the daytime time table is spot on and there is always something happening, they put a lot of effort in and can be found talking to guests and promoting the entertainment from first thing until gone 11pm. The evening shows tended to end at 9.45pm but were some of the best shows I’ve seen very high quality! After that the hotel is quite quiet, perfect for me but 18 head old was a bit bored, but it was just the two of us. We were very lucky to attend the white beach party which k am told only happens once a month, we really enjoyed this!! All in all a great holiday where even the staff came to give me a hug goodbye, I felt very safe and looked after and would definitely return (I’d possibly leave the bored teen at home though).
