Allyndale Motel

I needed a quick nights sleep and this was very adequate. The carpet needed to be cleaned so I kept my socks on and the shower was not for tall people but the water was hot.

We travel to Duluth to visit our son. This is close and a good value.

We enjoyed our stay and the continental breakfast was very nice.

We liked the place - the towels were especially nice. Would stay here again.

I needed a place to stay in Duluth during a long car trip. It's a small hotel with few amenities, but solid value. I enjoyed my stay and would stay again.

The neighborhood was right next to the I35 therefore it wasn't really near anything. I wouldn't stay again because it is about 10 miles farther than I had anticipated.

I wasn't expecting a lot because the online photo wasn't impressive but what I found was a litte gem. The owners were very friendly and helpful, the room was large with a full kitenette which I wan't expecting. I chose the hotel because I wanted to bring my dog along. My dog loved the place. It was right near a hiking trail, had a large yard that the dog could run in, and they loved dogs. My dog was well behaved and didn't bark or bother anyone, and we took her with us when ever we went anywhere, but we didn't have to worry about her every second we were there, like in a lot of "dog friendly" hotels. This is now my hotel for whenever I go to the Duluth area.

This is a motel without frills. Although the decor is outdated, the rooms were clean and pleasing overall. For a motel is this price range, I found it to be better than I expected and would reccommend it to others.

This motel was not a good value. It cost as much as a hotel but had all of the disappointment of a motel. The bathroom was TINY, nearly unusable. The room smelled funny and still had decor from the 60's (original, not retro). The bed was so-so and it was quiet, but I would not stay there again. On a very positive note, the caretaker was very nice and friendly, which matters.

We were back for the Proctor all class reunion. This place was a little older but very well kept. The room has that homey feel with dresser runners, real towels and regular sheets, not those industrial white ones. The bathroom was a little small but decent. Location was easy to find with easy on, easy off access to nearby highway. Staff were very friendly, accomodating and anxious to make the guests happy. I don't know about the continental breakfast because we didn't stop in to check it out. We would definately stay there again while back visiting.
