Allyndale Motel

We chose the Allyndale Motel because we could access it easily and it was close to our relatives we would meeting for breakfast. We stayed a Friday night and when we returned home on Sunday evening, we had received a pleaant call about not leaving the keys in the office. Our age is catching up with us!! They were so nice about it and we had the keys in the mail on monday morning. We would definitely stay again if they will have us!!

We stayed at the Allyndale Motel in Duluth, Minnesota for 6 nights. We traveled with our mother who is handicapped, and we were given a nice room which was handicapped accessible. Our room had a small kitchen which was really helpful for us. It was very clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The motel is off the main roads, and being mostly surrounded by forest, it is quiet. We were able to back right up to the walkway in front of the door, and unload everything we needed inside. The staff were very helpful, and accommodating. The motel is older, which I don't mind, and has some nice updates, such as the comfortable beds. I would recommend this motel and will stay there again, when we are visiting in Duluth.

The Allyndale is a bit out of the way, but the grounds are very peaceful and pretty. The rooms and fixtures are older, but everything worked fine and the service was great. When we arrived the room was clean and ready for us. Our room didn't get cleaned between the two nights we stayed, but that is probably our own fault for being in and out all day and putting out the Do Not Disturb sign when we were there. Overall, we were pleased with our stay and would definitely stay here again. We also enjoyed Duluth with the Blues Festival, the Duluth Grill, and Lake Superior & Mississippi RR train ride.

The people in the office were very friendly, and we were able to check in and out quickly. The rooms were small, but clean, and it suited our needs for one night. The beds were decently comfortable, the pillows were great, and the wifi had no issues. One thing that was missing...there is no continental breakfast! There is only coffee available in the motel office. Also, the showers are definitely not built for anyone over five feet tall.

Very friendly staff - both check-in & check-out. The room was very comfy - not super fancy - but cozier than most places I've stayed. The sheets & towels smelled like clean laundry (and not like the overbleached linens at most hotels). The room was nice & clean - I would stay here again, for sure.

The single queen-bed room was a little cramped for two persons, but the two queen-bed room was fairly spacious. The rooms were supplied with a coffee maker as well, and that was a nice surprise.

Would recommend this motel to any traveler - nice quiet area - very friendly staff. Enjoyed the continental breakfast. There was a refrigerator and microwave in the unit and we would have used them if we had stayed longer.

We got individual single room with queen bed everything neat and clean.. Back of hotel some river(or some other) water is running out you can even hear those sound it can give you good natural atmosphere.. Calm area to stay with family

This motel is literally just a few miles from any place in Duluth. Everything was under a 20 minute drive and it was nice to not have to deal with the downtown traffic and parking. It was quiet and cozy. The bathroom was a little small, but the overall room was a nice size for two.

If you are going to a motel to sleep this is a very nice a little motel. Old school but clean. Close to the pubs or restaurants. The clerk was very personable and helpful.
