A lovely breakfast with a wide choice available. Fresh fruit, cereals, juice, yogurt (fruit or plain) and choices from full English available.

Nothing to dislike, clean airy rooms, very pleasant staff and an enjoyable stay. Would head for the Cliffe if staying in the area in future.

In a great location. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and of a decent size. Breakfast options were tasty also.

Plumper pillows would have been nice.

the staff were absolutely amazing nothing was too much trouble, during my stay i felt unwell and the staff made sure i was fed and watered the cod was exceptional too definitely recommend this hotel

The hotel is in a very peaceful location within a short walk of the town centre. The property is very clean and the restaurant is spacious.

The part we stayed in was a bit dated with a small bath and over bath shower. There is no air conditioning so the rooms were a bit warm and hard to cool. The bed was comfortable but there was only one pillow which was thin.

Loved the location, lovely views across to the castle, nice walk into the town luckily on 2 of the market days. Outside seating area of the hotel was lovely. The morning breakfast staff were very friendly

Actually getting what was irdered on the menu, was given awful crisps instead of chips (chips were on the menu) was only offered chips after complaining to the manager about getting crisps & asking for plain crisps , I was informed they didn't have any - told them no thanks. The room the other couple we stayed with was directly over the kitchen & the room smelt awful - the outside filter hadn't been cleaned in a while however this was rectified. The bar closed really early @ 8.30pm to 9.00pm. We also felt the manager was initially a bit passive/aggressive but did make more of an effort on day 2!!
