Sleep Inn & Suites Madison - Monona

This hotel was expensive for the quality of the experience. The bed was comfy and the shower was good for both heat and water pressure. However, the desk in our room had a big sticky spot, and there were hangers hanging on the back of the bathroom door, which suggests some corners were cut during housekeeping. The stairs to the second floor also had debris on the carpet. The breakfast was not appetizing and my husband described the biscuits and gravy as being like gray silly putty. We chose this hotel because of its over 9 rating on Expedia, but after staying there, that rating seems inflated. It was fine but I would choose a different hotel the next time we pass through Madison.

Breakfast is very good. Rooms were clean and tidy. Pool and Hot tub were also nice. Loud pool area though, especially with numerous kids in there. To be expected in a fair rate hotel that accommodates families.

The manager was extremely helpful and did his best to make our accommodations pleasant.

The stay was horrible it was my son birthday the staff was rude made my daughter very comfortable we left early never coming back

Upon arrival, the hotel was clean and quiet, the front desk host was soft spoken and helpful too!! The pool area was intimate and clean, with a large amount of towels readily available. The only issue was the hospitality from the kitchen staff. The staff were Hispanic and a Hispanic family dined in and was served foods that were no longer available, due to the limited availability of that item. The staff quickly prepared it for this family and SERVED it to them only, while other guest were occupying the dining area and asking for said food item. I was extremely disappointed. This is discrimination and unprofessional behavior at its finest.

The pool was nice, very cold but it was fun for the kids

Check in was supposed to be at 3:00pm and we did not get into our room until 6pm we had a 6 month old and a 2.5 year old with our group that was put in a conference room until our room was ready. There was no compensation or discounts offered from the manager for this mishap.
