Pineapple Villas on Laguna Beach

The quintessential old Florida beach hotel. The way the beach use to be. We always love our stay at Pineapple villas.

The ceiling fan and light in the living room is not working. They need to more upkeeping to do besides cleaning the whole area.

Truly beachfront. Super clean and nice place. Needs some updates. Overall, very nice and would recommend. Great that it's pet friendly also. Dogs aren't allowed on beach or you can get $100 ticket so watch for the police if you go out there with pet. There is a dog beach nearby but it's small. Pineapple Villas has a great view of the ocean.

Very quiet

We come here numerous times a year. Very quiet and away from the youngins who are loud and noisy. We love this place!

This was our first time here and our first trip with our dog. We were pleased the room was ready early. It was clean and had been updated at some point. The property itself is old and does need to be repainted, but the grounds were kept clean. A big pluses we’re the pool was heated and the view we had was oceanfront. The water was so pretty and the sunsets were spectacular. We will be back sooner rather than later.

Pet friendly, which is hard to find. Several other guests had their dogs with them, which was nice to see. Something we all had in common. This was our first time traveling with our dog and classic car, so we had a bunch of questions for the front desk staff. They were so kind and very accommodating. We will be back as they took such good care of us and our fur baby.

It is on the beach.

You stay here because of the location! Another pro is that the villas have a FULL kitchen stocked with essential cooking items. This saved a LOT in restaurant costs. The building its self is in dire need of updating.....I'm not talking just aesthetics either. The balcony railing was held together in places with zip ties!!!! There are some major building code and safety violations. The steps to the beach had sand burr plants growing between the steps!! These are nasty evil burrs!!! The property needs to groom the path to the beach. The property allows dogs, which I appreciate except for when the dogs are barking all day! There is very little grass for the pets to do their business....I would not stay if I was traveling with my dog. The biker bar across the street was AWESOME and there is a grocery store a block away.....other than that, the restaurants aren't very walkable, everything is further south by about 2.5 miles!! Beach was amazing and the view from my balcony could NOT be beat!

The biggest issues with our room were the view from the window facing the ocean was obscured by old tinting that was very foggy and there was a big crack under the entrance door. There were other maintenance issues. Updates are needed.The furniture and bed was comfortable. The atmosphere is friendly and pleasant. The location is convenient. The staff is friendly.
