Pineapple Villas on Laguna Beach

Friendly staff. Wonderful quiet beach. Room spacious but certainly old.

I was shocked to see the unit after reading these reviews. There was mold around most air ducts, the air filters haven’t been changed since July 2022, my 11 year old was shocked by a lamp when she tried to plug it up when light flickered, and the couch and beds were very bad. Also, there was an inch of dust on fans and blinds.

Be careful with this property! The photos shown are only SOME of the rooms that have been re-done. Many others are VERY old and dated and do not look anything like the pictures. Doors, floors, and other items were old, cracked, rusted, etc. Not what we were expecting to stay in at all. Just be careful with which room you get and you may want to contact them beforehand to make sure you get an updated room. However, I did try to contact the hotel before leaving this review as well to no response.

Perfect location, clean, plenty of room and amazing views of the beach.

The hot tub only had one jet that was halfway working. The furniture was so old and showed wear. The parking was dangerous you had to pull straight in and out of oncoming traffic!

We really enjoyed our night here for a concert on the way to another destination. When we first arrived I did have a moment of “oh no this place looks older and maybe I made a bad choice”. I was wrong! While the outside seems slightly faded in color due to the sun and I’m sure salt water there was someone outside constantly cleaning and painting. The young lady behind the desk was super kind as we had arrived early. She let me know where we could change clothes to enjoy the beach until our room was ready. When our room was ready we received a text with information as to how to access our room and key. I was pleasantly surprised when we went inside. It was very clean with cold air and a comfortable bed. The bathroom was nice and roomy with an amazing shower! I plan to come back again with my family and stay longer.

Great place. We loved staying there. Very clean & friendly. Short distance to wslk to beach. Easy check-in. Had everything we needed. Will definitely go back

This is a true gem, it's not a luxury resort, yet I would definitely return year after year due to the laid back family vibe and excellent location being able to walk out to the beautiful beach!

This is a dog friendly property, so if your cool with that great and if not.. book somewhere else. We found dog hair in our room a lot, but I’m sure it’s hard to get all of it clean if there has been a dog inside the room for an extensive period of time. I don’t expect perfect, I just expect clean and the room just didn’t meet my expectations. The property location is AMAZING. The beach out front and access is perfect. The pool area is very nice. My only complaint is the cleanliness of the room. We had a wonderful trip, and any complaint we had regarding our room was quickly responded to. The staff was courteous and friendly. They had a sign out advertising job openings, so we opted to overlook our minor issues and enjoy ourselves. I just wanted to share the hair issue because for some that would be a dealbreaker. I would probably stay here again.
