Amber Inn Motel Le Mars

We booked this room after literally every room in Sioux Falls was booked and we needed a place to sleep traveling home. We were pleasantly surprised. The room was spotlessly clean and the hostess was friendly despite it being very late when we arrived.

Clean, quiet, person checked me in smiled & was friendly. My fitted sheet was stained so got a new one. replacement was worn a bit but not stained. Adjoining door to next room was unlocked but talked to the people in the next room & they were also there for Risefest in Sheldon Iowa for the weekend, so was unconcerned. I believe the new paint was a factor on all doors being difficult to open & close.

i never stayed there they wouldn't give me a room!! am i going to get reimbursed?

When you walk in the room it looks clean but the table had a sticky residue on it the headboards were dusty to where you could write your name on it the sink didn't have a plug nor did the tub the walls were not the best color I don't know anyone who paints each wall a different color, there was no coffee pot in the room . I wouldn't stay there again

Everything was ground level and had direct exit to the outside or inside. The old guy at the front desk was very, very rude. I was waiting at the front desk to check in. There was a sign on the counter that said 'call front desk 114'. When he cam in he told me I had to called the front desk. I replied that I am at the front desk. He then picked up the sign and shoved it in my face and said 'you need to call the front desk'. I replied why would I call the front desk when I am standing at the front desk? He then proceeded to check me in. He asked if I paid for the room already and I said yes. He said no you didn't . I showed him my itinerary from Expedia and he said ok you did. I stayed two nights never signed anything, he didn't take my car information or anything. He gave me a room key with the room number wrote on it and said have a nice day. When checking out went to front desk, called the front desk, lol. I got the same guy. Told him I was checking out. He said leave the key on the counter. I never seen him. No receipt anything. But on the positive side, the room was excellent and location was good.
