"Parents weekend and Homecoming, terrible stay"

We arrived too check in and the gentleman working was very rude right away. He stated he needed my card on file in case we did anything to the room. I went and got my card and identification. My girlfriend came in with me at this time. The worker then asked if we had any pets,I said we had a dog. He said that it would be 10.00 for the pet. Which in the website it stated that kids up 16 were free and pets were welcome. Didn't say anything about a fee. Then we asked for a rollaway bed for my girlfriends son who is 14. The worker said it was 15.00/ night for the bed. Plus 20.00 for our pet. So,not only did I pay 155.00/two nights, I paid additional 55.00 just to have my family stay there. Never have I been charged for a rollaway bed in any hotel I've stayed in.

We came to LeMars to attend a friends funeral. I really enjoyed the bed, it was so big and comfortable and I liked the pillow. I was wondering what brand it was and I wanted to find out if I could buy one but my husband didn't give me time to inguire. Pillows and soft mattresses are not important to him. He doesn't have achy bones like I do. We stayed at the motel last year but I don't remember having such a nice bed. When we come again we will definitely stay with you and the price is great also.

Staff very friendly. Drain in bathroom sink very slow. Sheets and carpet had stains. Bed was comfortable. Hallway very dark. Could use an update.

Overall the room was very nice. The bathtub, however, was broken. The drain plug wouldn’t go in to hold water and the tub water spout was very loose. Our reservation was for 3 people but there were only 2 towels in the room...could have definitely used a third towel.
