"A nice spot if you want to base yourself in the south captain cook area.but it’sa 50 min drive to the main Konatouristy"

Beautiful surroundings, good breakfast!

A little bit of a damp smell, and our bed didn’t agree with either of our backs.

"Wonderful place to stay, close to Kailua-Kona but quiet. Would happily stay there again!"

10.0

Our room was clean and comfortable, with a lovely view of the ocean from the spacious lanai. The property owners, Carl and Elma, were friendly and helpful, even when I was a Bad Guest and lost our room key (but I found it again!). Breakfast was substantial, delicious, and a bit different every day. Did I mention the gorgeous view?

Nothing. It was all fabulous.

"Backcountry feel with very welcoming hosts."

10.0

Very welcoming host, Carl, and his wife Emma's delicious breakfast. The view of ocean and wildlife from our lanai (deck) was wonderful. Tropical plants, flowers, and birds on site, yet the convenient location is just off the main highway. The reasonably priced room was the best cost performance.

Room walls were a little thin, but didn't bother us thanks to the quiet guests.

"This was a perfect choice for me and would stay there again in a heartbeat."

9.0

Loved the quiet, secluded location and the interface with wildlife. The room's lanai was a perfect place to contemplate the day and watch sunsets. Breakfasts were delicious and plentiful, with the outdoor setting being an exceptional start of the day. The innkeeper's friendliness made him feel like a friend. Hi Carl!

Dog droppings on the lawn caused odor, especially during rains, and hampered my enjoyment of the room's lanai.

Our cute yellow bedroom was adorable. We spent evening hours out on the lanai - Reading out on the lanai was so relaxing! Listening to all the nightly chirping was cool. Emma cooked wonderful breakfasts that started our days eating upstairs on their outdoor patio. Carl shared all the fruits around their home that Emma used. Location was great - we went to one beach 2.5 miles south and saw fish and a sea turtle. Snorkeled at step down beach - cool fish seen. We ventured 15 -25 min for evening meals. Note: downtown Kona parking charges $15/hr - we stayed for one hour to view all the artisans at their art show. Again great b& b - highly recommend!
