Very nice Hawaiian atmosphere with the nature. Breakfast was on the balcony with a good view on the ocean. Food allergies got taken serious. Swimming equipment like beach towels, boards or snorkels was provided.

Carl & Elma they very nice, breakfast is good, Tiny place but really nice experience, so quiet, but don’t have a big car cause the entrance is narrow. I’m afraid of gecko but I was ok.

Friendly owners. Great breakfasts. Rural atmosphere. If you would like to be away from hustle and bustle, this may be the place for you. I really enjoyed the private deck area in the mornings. Close to Captain Cook cove and two-step beach.

"Pleasant accommodations, gracious hosts, nice breakfasts and beautiful Hawaiian sunsets"

9.0

The hosts, Carl & Emma, were gracious, helpful & informative. Each bedroom suite had a private Lanai and full bathroom. The lanai had a small refrigerator, which was a nice surprise, and I used it to store food and drinks. The lanai overlooked state park land and had a distant ocean view; I enjoyed some beautiful sunsets. With no AC, the ceiling fan was helpful. I left the patio door open at night, allowing the sounds of nature (frogs, crickets, etc.) to lull me to sleep along with the cooling night air.

The queen-size mattress had edges a bit too soft and saggy for me, but I found the middle of the bed was firmer. Driving out onto the highway from the driveway can be a bit tricky; blind curves do not allow distant views of oncoming traffic... be careful... when it's clear and you go, step on it & go quickly.

"Great place to stay"

10.0

We love this Bed and Breakfast. After the business of Kona, this was a great relief. It is quiet and old-style. Elma makes a large and very tasty breakfast. The rooms are comfortable with private baths. Each room has a lanai with a clear view of the ocean, but the best view is in the community lanai on the upper deck, where breakfast is served. The B&B abuts a ranch, so there are no buildings or even high trees obstructing the beautiful view. Birds in nearby trees greet you at breakfast each morning. It's close to beaches and historical sites, the Painted Church and Place of Refuge. The Internet is strong. Unfortunately, I had to do two Zoom meetings while I was here. We stayed for a week at the beginning of our Hawaii visit and liked it so much that we were lucky to find a room available on our last night so we returned one more time. Thanks to Carl and Elma for being such great hosts.
