"Wonderful overall experience"

10.0

Great location close to Kona, sights in Capt. Cook, and beaches. Our room had a fantastic Lanay with view and breakfast on the veranda was excellent quality and quantity!

Parking was a bit cramped and roosters in the neighborhood were a wake up call in the morning.

Absolutely amazing. The owners should put better photos on Booking.com. All 4 rooms have a terrific ocean view, a tropic forest behind a window, endless songs of Hawaiian birds in the evening and in the morning! The room was clean and nice, the lanai was beautiful, and the owners were very nice people. Breakfast was great, homemade food that the owners make for their guests every morning. Having your breakfast on the huge balcony on the second floor surrounded by tropical trees canopies with myriads of birds was amazing. Location was also convenient for us as we were exploring the entire island. There is a large supermarket in 15 min drive from the house.

"We just left with an excellent feeling!"

10.0

First of all, many thanks to the hosts! They were very kind, provided a lot of information and trained snorkelling equipment. Excellent breakfast on the balcony overlooking the ocean. We received a map and explanations about the area. On the last day, we had to leave early in the morning, so they prepared an excellent breakfast for us to take on the road! We really enjoyed our stay there. The location is outside the city, but very close. Entrance and exit to the drive way is a bit problematic - straight to the road. Beyond that - we would stay there again.

Entrance and exit to the drive way is a bit problematic - straight to the road. Shouldn't be a problem for drivers with a driver's license for several years😉

"Excellent B&B"

10.0

It's a nice place to stay and enjoy the nature setting of its location. There are three rooms, each with a large lanai with views of the ocean and lush vegetation. They are great spots to watch the sunset. There is a couch and two comfortable chairs plus a dining table and two chairs on the lanai. There is also a refrigerator there. In the common area there is a microwave, some dishes, can opener, tea and a tea kettle and utensils. Beach chairs, boogie boards, mats, beach towels, a beach umbrella and snorkeling equipment are available there to borrow. The ensuite bathroom has a shower that is fine. Shampoo, body wash and conditioner are all provided, as well as liquid hand soap at the sink. The room itself is small and simply furnished, but with the lanai and the common area this is not a problem at all. There is a ceiling fan and plenty of [screened in] ventilation so the temperature was comfortable. There didn't seem to be any mosquitoes and we sat on the lanai at night with shorts on and no insect repellent. The hosts and their dog are nice. Carl gives you a map of the area and gives a detailed description of places to see and things to do. It might be a good idea to record it to retain all of the information. Breakfasts is served at 8:00 AM and they are very good. We were there six nights and the breakfasts were never the same. They always included fruit. They have several papaya trees that provide some of the fruit. The breakfast is served up on the top deck with excellent views and nice plants. There are two bird feeders that Carl fills up each morning and it's nice to watch the activity while you eat. Very many Java Sparrows (an introduced species) dominate the feeders- jockeying with each other for access. Saffron Finches and Cardinals also make appearances and sometimes manage to grab some food. We also had beautiful Gold Dust Day Geckos come onto our table at breakfast. The frogs (mostly Coqui- an invasive species from Puerto Rico) are very loud all through the night. It didn't bother us but some may be disturbed by them so you may want to have ear plugs.
