Realistically,,, nothing !!

A charming room of character in an old guesthouse, well-situated near the centre of Newport. Good cooked breakfast with hot choices including eggs, bacon and pancakes. Free on-site parking a bonus.

I liked the location. I picked it because I could walk to several of the mansions, and easily drive to the others. And it was a short walk to the cliff walk. Breakfasts were excellent, and the little dining room had a great view over the town.

Maybe it's going to be damp because it's a seaside town, but my room was musty. I had a "private porch" which contributed to the mugginess and mustiness of my room. Also, the door to the porch was flimsily locked and as a woman traveling alone, I didn't feel very safe in that room. A person who could get up the outer porch could probably easily break through that door and get into my room. Also, your website photos make the room look nicer than it is; I felt a little misled about the quality of the facilities. It's a stretch to claim the breakfast room has a view of "the harbor."

This place is a great little spot. The house is a cute, bed and breakfast style, throwback into nostalgia. Check in was a breeze. The room was comfortable. Bed and pillows were perfect. Jacuzzi tub next to a fireplace was perfect after a night in drizzly weather. The location is a stones throw away from Thames St. There's a breakfast room with a decent view of the marina and bridge (though we didn't partake in the offered breakfast). Would 100% recommend this place.

Because the place is a little older, there was a lack of convenient outlets near the bed (and just in general) for charging the phone/alarm overnight. And the stairwells are really tight if you have a decent sized suitcase. So be careful.

Beautiful hotel located near to downtown sights and dining options. They were friendly and helpful, with an incredible breakfast.
