This was the most amazing hotel we’ve ever stayed in! Staff sent out of their way to accommodate us and the grounds are absolutely beautiful. It’s a must stay when visiting Douro Valley! Can’t wait to be back!

"Gorgeous property"

The grounds and the property were absolutely gorgeous. It almost doesn't feel like real life. And we went in February, when it presumably isn't quite as breathtaking as other times of the year.

Fantastic experience. Best hotel this trip to Portugal. Excellent programs planned for guests who want to stay in from tree climbing to wine tasting. Beautifully designed.

Spectacular hotel. Great service. Beautiful views. The only downside is the prices for the Terrace Restaurant and menu options at pool restaurant need to include meat entrees. Free activities provided at the hotel.

"Amazing hotel, one of the best in the world."

Great hotel, with beautiful views of Douro river and the surrounding forest and vineyards. All facilities but more so the spa were incredible and the list of options are second to none. The IR sauna was so good we had to use it daily. The food is sublime as they also grow their organic food on site which is so interesting but equally tasty. If you want to visit Douro valley then you should only stay here and try and get the river room as its so big and has beautiful views.
