The White Horse Inn

Lovely hotel. Well furnished rooms with 2 king beds, wooden floors and seperate, stylish bathroom. Beds were a little hard for my liking so didnt sleep as well as I'd have liked. Nice and quiet though. The food in the restaurant was outstanding.

Very comfortable, clean and everything one needs. Good location. Good gastro pub food.

Very comfortable large beroom with a wonderfully comfortable bed. The room had all the standard coffee making facilities etc. WiFi was good with a desk to work at. The bathroom was clean with an enthusiastic shower. The only slight niggle is the bathroom has an automatic switch to operate the lights and extractor fans....it was on a hair trigger and seemed to go off on the slightest of movements. I had the liver and bacon for dinner which was even better than the last time i tried it. The range of beers was good and well kept. Breakfast was equally good with a buffet for cereal, juices etc and table service for the freshly cooked food. The staff were all very friendly and efficient. I'll definitely be going back.

Really lovely rooms - they seemed to be fairly new and were very clean and comfortable. I don't often stay in pubs because of noise etc but could see from the photos that the accommodation was separate, in an extension to the rear. The room proved to be very quiet. An unusual comment but the room was large and could have done with a small sofa or easy chairs - first world problem, I suppose! Food in the pub was excellent and there was a very friendly atmosphere overall. Staff were great. One minor gripe was with the bathroom lighting / extractor. I guess in a bid to be eco-friendly, the bathroom had a sensor fitted that meant the light came on automatically. Not a problem normally but during the night it is a little unnecessary and very bright! My wife and I managed to wake each other up because of the light. Also, when the light came on, so did the extractor fan!

A lovely property ,full of character and steeped in history. Our room was spacious and clean and provided everything that we needed. The service we received was excellent and the breakfast was one of the best I’ve had.
