"Lovely Hotel."

10.0

We arrived later than expected and were too late to eat. No where that we passed to grab a bite nearby but the Hotel still kindly made us a delicious sandwich and salad....we really appreciated that after a very long drive. The room was beautiful and lovely large bath with shower. Perfect...just a shame we couldn't stay longer! Oh and the breakfast was scrumptious too ☺

"Gourmet food & lovely accommodation...sensational!"

10.0

We would definitely stay at the Woolpack Country Inn again. If we lived nearby we would dine there often. It is in a very quiet country setting with a lovely alfresco area for dining on a warm night or you may dine inside if you prefer. We stayed at the Woolpack Country Inn on our last night in England before flying from Gatwick airport and we are so glad we did. The dinner was sensational as was the included breakfast. Obviously the chef is very talented. We were not expecting it to be so good in a very small town but we were blown away by the food. My husband is extremely fussy with his espresso coffee and he said it was the best he had had in England. The accommodation is in a converted barn which was very comfortable and modern but with some lovely historic features such as stone walls and old fashioned windows. We were in the 'family room' which actually comprised of two separate double bedrooms with a bathroom. Both with TV's. Much larger than your average family room in a hotel and a real bonus to have separate rooms which are connected by a small hallway that no one else can access. It was lovely and quiet so we had a good rest. The manager and staff were very friendly.
