The Silverfjord

The location of the hotel is perfect, being just a short walk from the railway station. I can't really find any bad points about it.

No staff around as wanted to complain about bed. Bed was broken on arrival with a dent in middle very uncomfortable to sleep on not helping my bad back.

Compared to the other accommodation available in the area, the silverfjord was good value.

It wasnt overly expensive so expectations were low. Arrived at around 9pm and not surprisingly kitchen closed. Breakfast was only 9 to 10.30 and had to be ordered the night before so that also didnt work for us and it was clear there was no other options. Worst part was the mattress, it was shot! No support at all and I got very little sleep as I couldn't get comfortable. Not expensive to replace a mattress and is a key element for a good nights sleep.

After a day in the hills and 2 nights camping was a decent meal, comfortable bed and a nice shower for good price

Good breakfast, large comfortable bed, pet friendly and an ideal location for surrounding attractions

It was a lovely spacious room. Very comfortable. That was exactly what we required. We didn't eat there, but the bar looked great.

This property is not suited for couples that have trouble climbing stairs. The rooms are small and old. The only thing good was the food

Accommodated a very late check in a friendly and obliging manner. Property basic but very clean, warm and comfortable. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Ideally located for my purposes. Room didn't have en suite facilities, though it was perfectly adequate and comfortable. Dinner was good, as was breakfast which was prepared specially for me for my early departure.
