Staff was super sweet. Pretty comfortable stay. Wish they had better tv options but overall a great experience.

The 49 stairs to the top was kind of rough

The Inn was very theme oriented so it made it fun to stay there as it matched the town well. The room was very clean and comfortable. The inn keepers were so lovely and the home cooked breakfast was great!

The only negatives were that the outside was really in need of fresh paint and some clean up around the property. I was a bit nervous upon arrival, but all inside was lovely. Also, be advised there are up to roughly 50 stairs to go up and down for the top level rooms. So for anyone who cannot do this please request the lower level rooms.

Ive lived / spent a lot of time in Bavaria between 85-2020. If you truly seek a taste of Southern German you need to spend time here. BLACK FOREST B&B: Rooms #11 & 13 are as close to a small town German B&B that you will ever find!! Angie is the quintessential German Frauline you will find. Each roof is detailed oriented to a real German b&b!

Great location, good breakfast, lovely innkeeper.

Bad coffee in the room, shampoo packets impossible to open.

It was a great property so easy to walk to downtown but also you didn’t feel in the middle of things. The people who ran the place were so nice and thoughtful, and paid attention to details.

They do a good job of warning you that it’s 49 steps up to get to the room which can be daunting. So unless they’re going to put in an escalator or the elevator, there’s not much you can do about it, but I would say the view was worth it.

Breakfast was amazing. Hosts could not of been nicer, they made sure everything was ok with your stay! Loved they put out snacks for you and hot tea and coffee up until I think it was 9 pm.

Parking was a little tight.

Wonderful family owned and felt like family.

This B&B truly defines the difference in choosing a bed & breakfast over a hotel booking! Everything from the atmosphere to staff and property was extremely “homey.” The staff took their time with each guest to provide them with information from not only about their rooms but the town and its hidden gems, even the gorgeous fish that they have in their beautiful pond in the back. Breakfast was great! Upon entering the dining room it felt like you were sitting down to the table eating with family. Each staff member went above and beyond with a smile on their face during our entire stay making it a personal experience to remember! Thank you so much for everything! We will definitely stay there again during one of our frequent trips to Helen! Yall are so kind and awesome! We appreciate you!
