Location was good and was in walking distance to downtown Cairns. Unfortunately at night a few of the side streets become a little sketchy though so be careful. The apartment was clean, had a washer and dryer, an ok pool and free underground parking. We were not happy with the bed and pillows as they were extremely uncomfortable and every time one of us would move the bed would squeak. The living room couch was also uncomfortable. It had a couch cover on it to cover up how used it was. It was kind of gross! My husband wasn’t able to connect to the wifi our entire stay either. I was able to connect to the wifi but noticed that sometimes it would disconnect unexpectedly. There was also a card that controlled most of the electricity in the apartment (the washer, dryer and hallway light seemed to work without the card) which was connected to the apartment key. Every time you leave the apartment you would have to take out the card so the fans and aircon would stop working. It is extremely humid and hot in Cairns in April so walking into a hot apartment when you are on vacation is disgusting. It takes awhile for the apartment to get cool again plus the living room aircon has a motion sensor on it and will stop when no one is in the room. This is ridiculous! The owners are definitely penny pinchers and extremely cheap. If they are so worried about the electricity bill then they should up the rate on the apartment. Believe me no one wants to be sweaty and gross on vacation especially when they are paying good money to stay there.

The apartment was very well-equipped, and I was extremely pleased with the communication from the staff whenever I had any concerns. We were very happy with our stay overall.

Of all the places we have stayed in in Australia this was our least favourite one. Can't say there was anything wrong with the room (other than the light coming into the bedroom from the courtyard all night), but there is nothing especially positive to point out either (maybe only the fact that it had a washer and dryer which was really handy). We haven't met the host at all but all we got from them was a list of rules to follow, including the instruction to take out our own trash. Can't say we found it worth the money, but it was one of the cheaper accommodations with a kitchen so I guess we can't complain (still 100+ EUR per night, though).
