"Warm hospitality in a beautiful building"

This was one of the highlights on our trip so far. The welcome and hospitality was exceptional. We loved reading/hearing about the history of Walhalla and the hotel. Our rooms were huge with a comfortable beds, and the communal tea and coffee making facilities were appreciated. We had booked dinner, bed and breakfast. Dinner was great and they kindly accommodated a last minute request for a veggie option which was very tasty.

It would have been nice to have a cooked breakfast but there were plentiful options for a continental breakfast. The rooms and bathrooms are a little dated.

Very congenial host and surroundings with a great deal of historical interest and very welcoming canines. Lovely outlook from the very comfortable front upstairs room which we enjoyed.

Bed slightly firm.
