Sun Siyam Iru Fushi

Recently returned for a third visit to this resort and the standards were high as always, but we also noticed they had reinvested and made many improvements around the island. Food also seemed to have gone up a notch at the à la carte restaurants. Our butler this year was Fayaz and he was very attentive of all our needs. Pleasant, helpful and responsive. The staff really make this place and nothing is too much trouble. Special mention to Sathis on the pancake station who entertains all the kids daily. Also Abdullah and Ganesh at the pool bar, Mia/Shanawaz at breakfast, Tathu at watersports, Bipin, two waiters called Gayan and Ashen. So many others whose names I sadly can’t recall but all great service. Great to see our first butler Azzam who was friendly as ever. Lovely island and we will return again. If there was one constructive point to feedback to management, I would say we waited too long for initial drinks when in the restaurants, 10-15-20 mins and even had the food we ordered beforehand the drinks one night. Not a biggie in the grand scheme of things but just something you wouldn’t expect normally in a restaurant and especially when everything else there is so good. All in all 5 star and can’t wait to go back.

Great week in a spectacular water villa setting with wonderful food & beach fun for our family. Beautifully kept island.

Our second visit and we chose the island because we knew it would be excellent for a family vacation - we are celebrating a big birthday year and wanted to experience luxury with our sons! From the moment you arrive and the way you are greeted you know it will be an amazing vacation Jaweed the Guest Relations was fantastic as was our butler Aalam - yes you get a butler to help with any of your needs We chose 2 Deluxe Beach Villas which are huge at 125sq metres with so many facilities. All the restaurants are excellent- even the buffet where you are spoiled for choice but the best thing is to ask a chef to prepare something fresh it’s wonderful We particularly like Reflections adults pool and the waiter service from Aruna and the team The no mistake bar was great for a drink while watching the sunset I would also highly recommend the Chinese restaurant, Trio and flavours- we also had a wine pairing dinner on the beach with excellent service from Gayan. So are there any negatives- not really this is paradise- if I am being picky we often had to wait a while for drinks at the main bar in the evening- plenty of waiters not enough barmen, to get the best snorkelling go on the trip to see stunning reefs!

Being on the island for the 7th time and 6th year in a row has been nothing less than outstanding! Each time we come back it feels better than the previous time and we keep getting more and more impressed by what the island has to offer! All staff has been incredibly nice and the management of the island amazing! Thank you for another amazing vacation!

This was out third visit to the Sun Siyam Iru Fushi in as many years and it just keeps getting better and better. The island is incredible with so much to do (but never feeling busy or overly active) but so many peaceful and isolated spots which is perfect. We went all inclusive which is a must and excellent value, the resort having recently upgraded their all inclusive package to include much more, including premium bean drinks etc. The choice of dining is wide and of an excellent and consistent standard with lots of variation. It’s a great option for families with an excellent kids club (Leah and Nancy have been excellent with our kids ever since we started coming here and even greet us on arrival and see us off when we leave!). The activities are really varied and our kids make friends quickly there, which is great for evenings and afternoons around the main pool when it feels like an extension of the kids club as they play with new friends. The kids evening discos on the sand are also excellent. We have also been looked after by Shahu, our butler, for the last three years and he has really made our stay for us. We immediately bonded with him, especially our son, and he ensures that we want for nothing and is always on hand to make sure we are happy and having a good time, be that picking us up to take us to dinner, making reservations, taking the kids off to do things, or simply just swinging by at dinner to see how our day went. He is one of the main reasons we keep coming back and a real credit to the resort. I couldn’t recommend this resort highly enough, and that is from someone who works in travel and has been to a lot of resorts over the years! We will be back…

An absolutely fabulous location with stunning views and scenery. Our huge room was a pool villa just a few steps from the beach, it was extra large, extremely comfortable , well equipped, and kept beautifully clean and serviced by Showrob who looked after us so well. It was extremely tranquil with the only sound being the lapping of the waves! The F+B offering (we went all inclusive ) was overall great value for money and there was plenty of choice, the adult only pool and bar were great, as was the pop up bar where you can watch the sunset and listen to a soothing live saxophonist. Our favourite evening was on the beach at the Island grill, where the food was gorgeous as was the setting, our least favourite the Teppanyaki which lacked some authenticity. During our stay the French restaurant Flavours was under renovation and maybe this put a little strain on getting bookings but our super butler Shadu always came up trumps! We have never been to a resort (anywhere in the world) where without exception all the staff were friendly, willing to please and highly efficient - it was a real joy. Special thanks to Bipin at the Waters edge bar. The seaplane transfer arrangements worked well. We would highly recommend this resort and we would love to make a return visit very soon.

We stayed at Iru Fushi for our honeymoon and had the most memorable time. The resort itself was pure luxury and the food was gorgeous. But the staff are what really made the holiday stand out, our cleaner, Rufath, was incredible. He went above and beyond in looking after us, not only cleaning our water villa and doing his job, he would leave us messages in leaves on the bed and provide us with anything we asked for for the mini bar. The staff truly go above and beyond to make it a more memorable experience.

Just returned from 8 nights at Sun Siyam Iru Fushi, we as a family really enjoyed our stay, The food at the various restaurants was very good, the staff were always very helpfull and polite, a few shoutouts must go to FAYAZ our butler nothing was too much trouble for him . The best barman we have ever come accross in GOPAL always warm and welcoming with a smile and great service. Also MINESH was our favourite waiter he was always full of information and nothing was too much trouble. To get around on the golf carts look out for ALVIN always happy and polite and giving us all kind of facts about the Maldives. Final shout must go to SAHITH in the Iru buffet who works so hard at the pankake station who even managed to make a Godzilla pancake for our son,thank you very much. We we were back at this paradise island already, once in a lifetime experience for us, it costs a lot but is worth every penny.

We had a wonderful stay on Iru Fushi. The villa (water villa with pool no 618) was just brilliant and so well placed on the very quiet side of the island. The restaurants and food were excellent and the service exemplary. Such a beautiful island and such a lovely stay.
