Honeymoon Review – Iru Fushi 🍽️ Restaurants Taste of India – ⭐ 5/5 Outstanding experience and easily one of the top restaurants on the island (together with Bamboo). The service was exceptional from start to finish — tables were cleaned quickly, empty glasses never stood for long, and the staff constantly made sure we were comfortable and taken care of. A special mention to Chef Vivek, who personally came to speak with us. That personal touch, combined with excellent food and spot-on recommendations, made the experience feel warm and memorable. Great food, great people, and truly top-tier service overall. Bamboo – ⭐ 5/5 Equally strong experience. Great service, fast and attentive staff, very clean, and once again no empty glasses sitting around. Everything flowed smoothly and professionally. The restaurant manager Vipin also stood out positively and contributed to the overall experience. Fantastic service-driven atmosphere and definitely one of the best dining options on the island. Iru Buffet Restaurant – ⭐ 5/5 Very impressive buffet. Great variety, high-quality food, and especially excellent desserts. What stood out most was the friendliness of the chefs — one of them even made special items for us upon request, always with a smile. A very enjoyable and consistent experience. Waters Edge – ⭐ 5/5 Not much to criticize here — very good overall. Great snacks, good drinks, and a relaxed atmosphere. Simple, smooth, and enjoyable. Islanders Grill – ⭐ 3/5 Unfortunately, this was the biggest disappointment considering it’s not included in the all-inclusive package. The food wasn’t better than the included restaurants, and the service was noticeably worse. Empty glasses stood on the table for a long time, despite the restaurant not being hectic or fully booked. Long waiting times between courses and nothing particularly special about the food. Overall, it felt like wasted money, and I wouldn’t recommend paying extra for this restaurant. Trio – ⭐ 4/5 Food-wise, it was okay — nothing special. If it weren’t for the excellent service by Yalsan, this would honestly be a 3/5. The restaurant was very busy, but since it’s always fully booked, I would expect better anticipation and planning. Empty glasses remained too long, and the waiting time between appetizer, main course, and dessert was excessive — 1 hour and 15 minutes, and we weren’t even asked about dessert by then. Yalsan truly saved the experience with outstanding service. Reflection – ⭐ 2/5 No detailed comment needed. Service was extremely slow and disappointing. Food was okay, but the service alone brought the rating down significantly. 🏡 Villa Experience – ⭐ 4/5 The villa entrance was beautiful, with a sunset bed and a great private pool. Inside the villa, everything felt clean, well-maintained, and generally very comfortable. Housekeeping was excellent — you could tell they planned cleaning around our dining bookings, and nothing was ever missing. However, there were two disappointments: The mini fridge smelled odd and didn’t cool drinks properly — beverages were never ice cold. The bubble bath was a major letdown. It didn’t feel clean and was only properly cleaned before arrival. It wasn’t cleaned again during our 7-night stay, which made us avoid using it. For this level of resort, I expected more. Despite this, overall cleaning and service were very good. 🛥️ Excursions & Host Host Ahmed – ⭐ 5/5 We did the Golden Sunset, Snorkeling, and Local Island Experience, all hosted by Ahmed. He was passionate, knowledgeable, and clearly loved what he was doing. He gave details, energy, and meaning to every excursion — you could feel his pride and enjoyment, which made a huge difference. Golden Sunset – ⭐ 5/5 Beautiful experience, well-organized, and unforgettable. Snorkeling – ⭐ 5/5 Excellent — smooth and very enjoyable. Local Island Experience – ⭐ 3/5 This felt more like a tourist trap than a genuine cultural experience. While the host was great and proud of his country, you don’t get much value from the trip. The souvenir store is overpriced, and the same items can be bought at the airport on the way home. The only real highlight was the host himself and his passion. 🚗 Buggy Drivers – ⭐ 5/5 All buggy drivers were friendly and professional, but Ahmed stood out in particular. He has a genuinely kind heart, always smiling, helpful, and warm. He deserves the best — truly one of those people who leave a positive mark on your stay. 🤍 Butler Service – ⭐ 5/5 Excellent service overall. Friendly, reliable, and made the stay smooth and stress-free. Thank you Neeshaadh! 💍 Honeymoon Package Unfortunately, the honeymoon package was disappointing. Some included elements were missed, and the resort never reminded us or ensured that everything was delivered. We only realized parts were missing after leaving, which unfortunately ruined part of the honeymoon experience. For a honeymoon, I would expect the resort to proactively manage and follow up on everything included. 🧑‍💼 Management I believe the manager’s name was Mariyah. After I left a negative comment regarding Islanders Grill, she quickly approached me about it. Her initial approach felt more confrontational than understanding, especially since the feedback was genuine and not meant to gain compensation. She did offer a 20% discount on snorkeling, which wasn’t the intention behind the feedback. That said, during the following days, she was very sweet, and we had good experiences with her afterward. 📸 Photography & Activities AWF (Photographer) – ⭐ 5/5 An amazing young man — kind, professional, and full of positive energy. Truly adorable and talented. God bless his heart. Jet Ski Instructor – ⭐ 5/5 Young guy (around 18), incredibly friendly and a great guide. Both of them were impressive for their age — full of good service, good energy, and professionalism. Absolute credit to the resort. ⭐ Extra Personal Note Yalsan is misplaced in his current role. He is incredibly service-minded, intelligent, and professional for his age. I truly believe his potential is being wasted as a waiter — he would make an excellent butler in the future. If he lived in Denmark, I’d hire him instantly. A real unshaped diamond. Kudos to Venkrat, Najah, Vivek, Neeshaadh, Sujana, Vipin, Vivek, Yalsan, Awf, Ahmed and Ahmed.

Beautiful island, excellent beach villa and facilities, great food choices and most kind and helpful staff.

Holiday of a lifetime! Everything was perfect, I’m fast better than perfect. Beaches are stunning with white sand and crystal clear sea. We stayed in a beach villa which was outstanding. The food is amazing. Our kids loved the little ice cream bike that goes around the island in the afternoon and you have to find it to get ice cream. So much fun. Service is amazing, so attentive and personal. Our concierge, Fataz, was amazing, really looked after us to make the holiday perfect. It was truly a dream holiday. I hope we can come again!

A fantastic holiday from start to end. - Lounge/Sea Plane We arrived in Male around 8am and spent a couple of hours in the Sun Siyam lounge waiting for a few other sea plane passengers to arrive. The lounge was quiet with loads of indoor and outdoor space plus complimentary massage and a good range of drinks and snacks. Sea plane was a fab experience with wonderful views and highly efficient in getting from A to B. We were greeted at Iru Fushi by a wonderful welcome party including Hnin (our Butler), who was simply wonderful throughout our stay. - Accommodation We opted for a delux beach villa with pool. Wow. It’s simply massive with loads of space to relax plus an amazing pool with views through the gardens to the beach, sea and beyond. Our room (239). was close to the adult bar/pool “reflections” and we often had the beach in front of our villa totally to ourselves. So private and exclusive. Could not have wished for a better location. Room well furnished with hairdryer, coat hangers, fab mini bar, shampoo conditioner and shower gel, towels plus other personal items. - Staff/Service Again wow! Hnin was our butler and she helped with anything we needed from restaurant reservations to mini bar requests and trip information. Nothing was too much trouble. Such a helpful addition to our holiday and so very friendly and accommodating. Sadam was our housekeeper with morning room cleans, minibar restocks and evening turn down service. He went over and above and our room was always spotless with wonderful messages and surprises left on our bed. Again nothing was too much trouble and he always had a smile. Hassan from the recreation centre took us scuba diving and again was just brilliant. Patient and knowledgeable with loads of information and we saw the most amazing wildlife. So informative and helpful. Absolutely everyone at Iru Fushi was happy, smily and helpful. - Food/Drinks We ate in all restaurants and all were exceptional. Our favourite was “Taste of India” however that’s just personal preference. Buffet food was lovely - we simply could not have eaten three meals a day plus snacks and drinks! Nobody could possibly get hungry here. Cocktail and wine/beer offering went on forever and it’s the best AI bar menu I’ve experienced. We are both well travelled and agree that Iru Fushi is the best resort with the best service that we have ever experienced and were truly sad to leave. You will not be disappointed if you visit - we will definitely be back.

The service was amazing , everyone here is friendly and happy and the staff here can’t do enough for you . The resort itself is impeccable and clean and efficient. The water villa was stunning and private .

We had the most amazing honeymoon at Sun Siyam Iru Fushi, just the most incredible place on earth. There is literally nothing to fault about it, everything was perfect - food, service, entertainment, rooms, privacy etc. Extra special shout out to our Butler Faahim, he made the trip for us, as did all the staff. We’ll be back!

We have just returned from a wonderful holiday at Sun Siyam Iru Fushi. The island is beautiful and our villa was stunning. Our butler Faahim was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble from the moment we arrived to the time we left. All the staff were so friendly and helpful it is hard to name them all. Our room cleaner for 431 was excellent as were Gopal, Ramesh, Sabari (bars) and Desi in the spa. Everyone contributed to making our stay a very memorable experience.

It was our second time at Iru Fushi and as usual everything was excellent. The resort is so comfortable and you can find everything you need here. In case you want privacy - you'll find it at your villa. In case you need more people - just go to the beach near The Waters Edge Bar. There is a lot of activities at the resort during the day. You just relax and the personnel do everything! Good food and drinks. I'd like to thank all the personnel and special thanks to all at the No Mistake Bar (Guys you're the best one). Went on private jigging and snorkeling. Even saw two mantas and caught some tuna. Thank you Iru Fushi and see you soon!

Our stay at Iru Fushi Resort was absolutely wonderful and exceeded all expectations. The resort is large yet feels peaceful and private, creating a perfect atmosphere for a truly relaxing holiday. The villas are very spacious, beautifully designed, and extremely comfortable, making it easy to feel at home from the first moment. The beach is breathtaking, with soft white sand and crystal clear turquoise water that looks unreal. Swimming and walking along the shore is pure pleasure. The entire resort is immaculately maintained, everything is clean, well organized, and visually stunning, which adds a lot to the overall experience. The food was excellent throughout our stay. There is a great variety of cuisines, everything is fresh and delicious, and the quality remains consistently high. Even during a longer stay, the dining options never felt repetitive. There are plenty of activities available, both water based and on land, so there is always something to do. Whether you prefer relaxation or active experiences, the resort offers a perfect balance. A special thank you to our butler Lea Li, who was incredibly helpful and attentive. She was always available, assisted with every request, and made our stay smooth and stress free. Her professionalism and care truly elevated our experience. Iru Fushi Resort is a place we would happily return to and can confidently recommend to anyone looking for an unforgettable Maldives vacation.

A lovely place. We had some troubles in the beginning; however, the staff arranged everything perfectly. Ms. Lea also served us well. The island is well accommodating, and they provide a wide range of services.
