Sun Siyam Iru Fushi

We've just returned from a 10 day stay at sun siyam iru fushi and I can honestly say it's the best family holiday we have ever had. The island itself is absolutely stunning and meticulously kept to a very very high standard. It's 360 beaches are absolutely perfect and clear blue waters were warm and full of wildlife. We stayed in the maldives 10 years ago and didn't see a turtle the entire time we were there. We saw a turtle the second we got off the plane and multiple times every day as we chilled out on the beaches. The rooms were immaculate and finished to a high standard and were made up multiple times a day. Never once did we need for anything. The staff are very attentive and aim to please constantly. Big thanks to gopal and both the bipins from the restaurant and beach bars who made our kids feel like part of the family on the island. The food in the buffet was always fantastic and the Al a carte restaurants were all amazing. Our favourite was trio not only for the amazing food but the location in the evening was perfect. I'd love to give a huge thanks to axinya our butler who looked after us our entire stay. She did an amazing job with every need we had met instantly. From organising buggys to get us to and from parts of the island when needed,to arranging excursions and treatments she never failed to amaze. Even after we left she managed to find a forgotten teddy and arranged it to be dropped to friends we had made while there so it could be returned home. Thank you so much. I could literally write for hours about how amazing this place was. And needless to say we will definitely be returning.

It was a lovely holiday. We would like to thank and commend Ashan, Naveen, Weslie, Sadiam, Oleg, Naresh, Naeem, Deepisna and everyone else on the island were kind. We have been to this island for the sixth time and every year it is more beautiful with Lespi. We are already looking forward to next year. Thank you

Sun Siyam Iru Fushi did not meet expectations at all. The resort feels poorly managed and nowhere near a true 5-star standard. Food quality was inconsistent and uninspiring, with very limited variety. Despite claims of many restaurants and bars, only a few were actually available, and getting reservations was frustrating and often impossible. The island atmosphere was heavily affected by ongoing disruptions near guest areas, making it difficult to relax or enjoy any sense of peace. Cleanliness and housekeeping were also disappointing and lacked the attention to detail expected at this price point. Overall, the resort overpromises and underdelivers. It does not justify the cost and is not recommended for guests seeking a quiet, luxury Maldivian experience—especially couples or honeymooners.

This was our second visit to Iru Fushi and we were not disappointed! The staff, food, facilities and activities all lived up to our high expectations. Everyone so helpful and friendly. We can’t wait to visit again.

Everything was top notch quality. The view from my overwater villa was serene and tranquil. The location is a bit far from the city but great because it’s more private and relaxed compared to the ones which are closer to the city. The prices of the rooms and restaurants and all activities were worth every dollar spent. Very clean, they clean the villas twice a day so that was very helpful. Very private and secluded so no noise issues. I also had a private butler named Mr. Azzam. He made the experience 10x better because I was so unprepared with the trip as it was my first time. He helped build an entire itinerary for me and suggested and guided me around the resort with brilliant knowledge of it and the package I took. He was the one who really made this trip beautiful and comfortable. Thankyou to the entire Iru Fushi team from the bottom of my heart!

The location is lovely. Maldives is paradise for sure. And Iru Fishu island is perfect. Perfect for families and has a lot on everyday which is great. The atmosphere is very relaxed and all the staff truly make you feel valued and welcome. We stayed in a beach villa which had its own private pool which was really lovely. It was decent value with the free ice cream a welcome treat for all those hot days. The resort is clean with very well maintained pathways and beaches. There was a little construction noise due to some refurbishments but we knew of that before we booked and it wasn’t really noticeable unless right there. Must mention Aalam our butler. He was super helpful and made our stay superb. Also must mention Bipin who made every mealtime perfect and gave our little boy a high five every day. Loved the pancakes made by Sathis too, especially the Bluey one. Just brilliant for the kids.

From coming through immigration at Male airport I was met by the guys from Sun Siyam and was quickly taken to check the luggage in and then taken to the lounge to wait for the seaplane everything was very efficient and quick.The lounge was very nice with plenty of food and drinks even a complimentary neck massage if you wanted great veranda outside to watch the planes take off and land . Then came the time to board the plane which was easy and then the take off and flight to Iru Fushi first time on a seaplane so was a great new experience. Once the plane landed the meeting was very nice with a traditional greeting of drums which followed all the way along the pier until we got to land then a glass of champagne and went to meet my Butler to check in. Azzam my assigned Butler met me in the bar and had everything in hand after a short introduction to how everything worked Azzam whisked me away to my villa on a golf cart . On entering my over water Villa my luggage was already there and the Villa was unbelievable with a view to die for, after a short tour of the Villa Azzam left me to settle in. After a quick unpack a shower and a dip in my infinity pool it was off to explore the island Well what can you say the Island really is stunning a real paradise beautiful white sandy beaches and stunning tracks through the trees and bushes . Everywhere was super clean and all the staff so friendly felt so relaxed and at ease straight away. Onto the food the Iru buffet restaurant where breakfast was served was fantastic with eggs cooked as you waited with a pancake and waffle station was brilliant so much choice in the buffet it’s hard to mention it all. I also used the buffet for lunch and dinner a few times the food was always really good and staff fantastic. Only managed to get booked into the Trio restaurant once and wow one of the best meals ever and the staff again fantastic. Had lunch in reflection’s around the pool a couple of times the food here was also really good. Now on to the Asian restaurant Bamboo this was my favourite i used it a lot had probably one of the best Asian dishes I have ever had and the staff looked after me so well even cooked a couple of specials for me to try and on the last night of my holiday they had a table set up with a special message on it . As the holiday went on the resort delivered in every way from snorkelling to kayaking to trips away everything was such a great experience. Azzam my butler was fantastic nothing to much trouble and always found time to come for a hat to make sure everything was good. The Villa was cleaned twice every day by Shashank who was fantastic the room was spotless and mini bar replenished every day In all the resort was fantastic the staff (way to many to mention) were the best I’ve known on holiday and I hope one day to visit again

It was wonderful, absolutely everything: service, food, views, acommodation, people. There were lots of activities for kids, very easy to get from one place to another, noise practically inexistent, rooms extremely spacious and modern, cleaned twice per day. Lovely people especially Aalam ( our butler ) , Altinay , Leah, Eva, Onusha, Ashen

Our holiday at Iru Fushi was nothing short of a dream. Impeccable service, stunning accommodation (Horizon Water Villa) incredible cuisine, and a truly magical atmosphere. Ari our butler, was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble, she was there whenever we needed her, and she made our holiday truly special .
